AC Controller

I know this question has probably been asked & answered before....but my searches haven't turned up an answer.
I would like to automate the control of my window AC based on grow space temp and night/day cycles. IOTW - during night mode turn on AC when temp is over 69 degrees. Off at 65. Day mode on at 82. Off at 75.
Is there a product that will accomplish this and isn't the price of a laptop?
Thanks!:tiphat:

Well I think as long as the AC resumes the same cooling function when its turned on after power loss , a fan controller / thermostat and a timer would work fine ...

One thing to note if you go for a fan controller make sure it just turns on and off according to settings not a variable speed controller you can use the Ecotechnic ones and you can set simply to Power on when the temp gets to high ...Then simply use a timer to power fan controller according

Just my 2 sence assuming your ac doesn't have a thermostat then I've just wasted 5 mins of my life :woohoo:

How about a programmable thermostat?

I would just get an off the shelf thermostat, 24v AC transformer, 24v contactor, and a NEMA enclosure to put it in. For about 70 bucks you can control any A/C unit that will run when you apply power to it. *some of the digital ones won't* Plus this allows you to put the thermostat right where you want, and use it to control an A/C unit across the room. If you are interested in a project like this, I could put together a parts list, and diagram.

ac companys need wake up

You would think they would put this feature on the mini splits at least!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.:tiphat:
Hard to believe this device does not exist.
If the power to my AC is interrupted......the AC will resume the last settings it had before the interruption. Thanks Cheesegez for the offer....but if this isn't available commercially....I'll continue to do what I'm currently doing...which is use my fingers to adjust the thermostat.
