Absolute Longest Veg Time Observed for AutoFlowers?

As the title states, I'm looking for the absolute longest time anyone has observed an auto-flower taking to begin flower?

2 months? 3 months? 4 months? Anyone with extensive auto-flower experience (multiple strains, years of exp) out there and can chime in?

Would be awesome to know this tidbit of info.

Thanks so much

Exactly what Robrites said. Aridbud is the autoflower expert around here, and breeds them.

There are many types of autoflowering plants, although they all do the same thing-autoflower irregardless of the light period. Some plants will autoflower because of restricted potsize always 100%. I have seen autoflowering lines around the mediterranean that will start to autoflower after they become mature that also depends of environment.

Generally speaking , if it's a ruderalis/lowryder based autoflowering strain, 90% of the plants will generally start autoflowering before 30-45 days. This is the general case and there are always extreme lines.

To directly answer your question, I have seen plants that will start to autoflower after many months like 4 but then again I have never tried to keep these plants longer in veg so I couldn't possibly tell you. Someone must have experience keeping all these plants under 24/0 light for months to be able to tell you. There are many exceptions/weird things in the autoflowering world.

Appreciate the answers. aridbud says it's not truly an autoflower if it doesn't flower within 2 months. leet, your answer is more in line with what I was looking for.

Appreciate it. I'm going to just deal with the 4 monthers if they pop up. ;)

I had some semi autos and super autos which vegged for 6-7 weeks and stretched for 4 weeks more.

A buddy procured some supposed auto flower strain Lemon Skunk Lavender Gdp. Paid good money bought the seeds by the ounce. Ran some out, squat indica, but alas not auto flower. I like the idea of lemon and lavender. Still have some but they hold veg under light.

AridBud says all true autos should begin flowering within 30 days. :)

Appreciate all the posts, good info. :D

I've never ran autos, this season will be my first go with them, and I'm wondering if anybody has input on how much the photoperiod parent of the hybrid has on veg time.

I'll be doing a 72' Colombian Gold x Lowryder, and I expect the mom side to delay flowering quite a bit. It'll be fun to see how it goes.

I think most true autos will begin to flower before the 45 day mark. What you may be interested in is a very sativa like auto. They will begin to flower before the 45 days but continue to flower and grow for a much longer time frame.
If you want to veg for such a long time why not just go with regular photo plants??
Fairly new to autos so can't give any suggestions. Let us know what you find.

Peace GG

All depends on strain and whether or not stable. Sounds like semi-auto having both ....and photo is probably going to be dominant until you corral with crossing auto or back crossing with auto.

:smoke out:

I remember when autos were looked down on. I've actually been impressed the last few years. Looking forward to the future.
