About to chop Bubblegum...or should I give it another flush?

Hey everyone,

So my problem is, I really didn't start flushing this plant soon enough because I thought it would take longer to finish, but now that I looked at the trichs they are about 20-50% amber throughout the plant.

About 6 days ago, i flushed about 10 gallons of tap water through my plant (5gal bucket FFOF), and on the last 2 gallons I mixed in about 20ml per gallon of botanicare clearex. The last time this plant got any nutes was around 12-15 days ago. I should add that the only nutrients used in this grow were Botanicare PBP bloom and grow, Liquid Karma, and Sweet citrus/grape.

So the question is, chop now and hope its flushed enough, or flush again today, wait another 6-7 days for soil to dry out, and end up with possibly over ripe buds??

By the way, the strain is Bubblegum, purchased as clone so i don't know the breeder, definately has that classic bubblegum smell though. It is a fairly sativa leaning plant, which i hear is fairly uncommon for bubblegum.

I have to say, it sure looks ready! Here's some bud porn for everyone :joint: :

hope u kept some clones; if my plant looked like that at 40 days i'd consider it more of a blessing than a problem... might even be worth a reveg if not... if you don't have any clones of the plant and u want to grow it again i'd chop the tops and leave a bit of leaf to revegg with; extra flushing will just make revegging the plant even harder

if you don't want to keep the plant it's up to u... u could chop the top cola that is the ripest and leave the rest to flush out over the next week... let it all stay... or take it all... depends on ur pref... people like sativas on the early side of ripe and indicas on the latter side generally

might want to try drying a bud real fast in the microwave or something to see what the ash burns like to get an idea of how flushed it is

best of luck with whatever u decide

I'd chop em, 12 days without nutes = 2 weeks of flushing kinda, almost. I say your good, but ^^^^^ has some good advice if your worried about it.

Thanks opt1c, this is my prized plant right here, finishes very fast for a sativa, and pumps out the trichs. I definately have clones of this girl, would never let her go. I think I'm going to take a sample nug right now and quick dry it, i'll let everyone know the results...

Flushing with the clearex should have cleaned the residual nutes out - especially at 20ml per gallon. 6 days of drinking water should be good.

Wow...that's about all I can say. I just used my vaporizer to quick dry a nug, and i am very impressed. It seems to be a great high so far, i only took down 1 average sized bag, and man am i baked! The taste was fairly good too considering it was on the plant 5 minutes ago.

It's decided, she's comin' down probably tomorrow. What are u'r guys opinions on giving the plant 24 hours of dark before chop? Is it really beneficial? (i've read many threads on this but it always seems to be a bunch of mixed opinions)

Killer plants.

Can you really flush soil? I think all you can do is stop adding nutes. Also, I think 24 hour dark is one of those canna myths. Chopping with a perfect manicure and cure is the best you can do at this point.
