A weird question about Auto's

Since I have been growing different autoflowering strains for a few years now, I have a question for others who know their stuff.
I had a batch of 3 different types of auto's in 1 cupboard under a 250hps in soil, with water~no nutes.

My question is , I had say 6 of these females finish and there was a runt which didnt get any light and never started flowering. I harvested the rest a month back and now it has space it has shot up , the room has been on 18/6 and the rest flowered fine with this , why did the runt never start to flower until now ? its been 3 months from seed , and is now flowering fine.

Peace

It may not have a strong auto flowering gene...try lowering the hrs of light...or increasing the hrs of darkness...

I would have to say first off it could have been a rouge pollen particle still floating around from a previous seed run but unlikely to live long enough. It could have been brought into the grow space on someone or airbourne from another source.

Lastly when I tell you the Blue Streak I have and been growing and have not seen one not autoflower is 100% AF it still does not mean it is 100% AF. Its all relative in nature nothing is ever 100% Blue Streak could really be say 99.76544538% AF and you got one in a million that didn't.

I have a large tote that I keep my soil in, awhile ago I was gifted some auto seeds.
I had an exceptionally bad germ rate...so I just tossed the soil along with the seed back into the tote and closed it. roughly 3 weeks later I reopened the tote and found a lone seedling with a stem at least 6-7 inches long, it must have been growing above soil for atleast a few weeks in the dark.
so I couldnt bring myself to kill it,considering all it had gone threw.
3 weeks later she showed herself..a girl. she grew well at first but didnt seem to preform well over the long term.
She started to flower nicely then after a 2-3 weeks she just stopped.
so I killed the bitch..lol.
anyway my conclusion was that the lack of light for the first few weeks probably contributed to her lack of vigor later in flower. that dark period in the first few weeks must have done something to her internal clock to make her come to a stand still..
I'm curious to see if you end up with the same outcome.
your plant must have been recieveing some light so it might prove to be a success,as opposed to mine with a complete dark period in the beginning.
Dont know if this makes sense to you..but it was just what I have observed.
maybe it will help,maybe not.
You should let me know results when the time comes..
I'm very curious about things such as these.

I've had this happen a bunch of times, both cold and hot, and inbetween. I've only seen it so many times because I try to never kill even the runts... just to watch, see what's up.

I've seen a lot stay at 2 to 5 inches, stalled. After that long time, they just pick all up and grow like little monsters. I don't mean like plants that wait almost five weeks, then flower, but early runts and stalls. When they do happen, just put them to the side, if you can... might happen. Who knows?

thanks for the replies, S_A_H I agree that could be likely, nothing in nature is 100%
Dirt diggler v ery interesting, I shall try to inform you of the outcome., as long as I remember : )
Mr.Mike , It now has a 250 hps all to itself until the new runs ready , we will see.
