:(

Well im sitting here..with a bottle of Vodka and it is time to make a decision.

Here's what happened.

Im just about finished with my new cab i got 6 plants fimmed and trained almost ready to go into flowering. The strain is a hybrid of skunk and dj-s blueberry. We are renovating our house. So my operation is not the stelthiest right now. Anyway yesterday a construction worker saw my plants. I personally was at work so he complimented my dad on the plants. The guy said his friends are trying to grow but they dont know how to separte males from females and what not..so obviously not the sharpest people. Long story short..im paranoid as hell..and cant think straight..

I sure as hell don't want to chop my plants...who would ?

As i see it i have two choices:

1. Chop the plants destroy everything
2. Try to finish this grow as my last for a very long time.

I know this is the place for good advice so im going to post a poll... :badday:

a sad day indeed...

If your in a very unfriendly state you have to weigh the possibility of ****ing up your life with keeping your harvest. The guy sounds dumb and harmless but your the only one that knows what you should do. Most people here will say to chop it down, all to easy when it's not their crop.

Is tearing it all down the "right" thing to do? Yes!

But i have been in risky situations with a small cab grow in a apartment where you should not grow. This was a long time ago in a very unfriendly state and i'm surprised i didn't get in trouble and ruin my life.

You might want to look into moving your grow instead of killing them all.

If you're in the states, I would definitely take them down, cause they could take your house over it. If you have anyone else you can truly trust to keep a cut of it, so it can be preserved for later use, than do so, but for the sake of security, I would get rid of the grow until the air has cleared. Peace of mind is priceless. But in the end, the ultimate choice is yours.

Deffinatly find a safe place to grow.

I don't know how long it would take, but surely the 5-0 would be straight there if they thought you had plants.

Just stick them outside untill you're sure that you're in the clear.

People here have generally said to take em down. That would be the prudent and "right" thing to do, but at the risk of giving bad advice, I probably wouldn't do it. If the guy seemed chill, I have faith in the average fellow man that they probably wouldn't go out of his way to tell the police officer. But, you never know...

Are you a gambler? If you like to err on the side of safety, depending on where you live, I'd dump the plants somewhere in the woods and hope for at least a half assed yield for my efforts.

you have 8 lives left...

you have 8 lives left...

man that sucks...

chop and remove any trace that there was ever a grow going on...bleach all hard surfaces.

move the cabinet to the garage after cleaning it or discard it altogether.

it sucks, but you can start up in the future. :badday:

your security and everyone else's in the residence is priority #1.

easier said than done, but consider the alternative. :badday: :spank:

I'd chop 'em

Based less on the guy seeing them, and more on his comment in telling you (someone he doesnt know) that "his friend is trying to grow"

...this guy aint gonna keep his mouth shut and has probably already told a dozen people about "the sweet plants he just saw"

I would go with the majority on this one....Especially when you dont know that guy from Adam....You are not grow partners....You have to play it safe, this is the responsible adult thing to do....No, keeping them at your pad will be too much of a risk....I would'nt kill them, they're too far along and you have invested too much time into them at this point....If you have a close friend that grows then place the plants into that persons hands, you may end up having to share more of the proceeds than you normally would, but i'll take that over getting busted any day....Or, if you have access to someplace outdoors try that....And YES!! you came to the right place for sound advice, there's a slough of very smart people here on ICMag....And i'm proud to be one of them :) :) And freaking out wont do nothing but cause you more stress than you probably already have by just purely growing this plant....(which is already illegal anyhow) So man, just calm down you'll make it....LOUDCALL :rasta:

Yup. IMO, NOKUY hit the nail on the head. This guy has "friends who grow" as he already admitted. It's a good bet these guys will hear about your grow... then there's the fact that they have friends, who also have friends...

Next thing you know, too many ppl wil know about it, and it only takes 1 to bring the hammer down, or to attempt a ripoff. If you're gonna keep em going, be VERY cautious and aware to what goes on around your place, and pull 'em at the slightest discrepancy.

Peace

Edit: I pulled & chucked my only backyard plant last summer because it was seen by a surveyor. That was enough for me...

To be 100% safe I'd say tear it down. I know that answer hurts. Live to grow another day. Maybe take a break for a few months. You never know what other people will do or say so it's really for the best. You may thank yourself one day.

The guy said his friends are trying to grow but they dont know how to separte males from females and what not..

How is that so hard to do? Sounds like a strange excuse to me.

I think you're more likely to have a burglary to try and steal the plants than be reported to the police. But honestly, I'd say it's game over for about 1 year on the whole growing front. No point risking losing everything.

Sorry bud.

Why are you even thinking about it? What will be a sadder day? This day or the day when you get sentenced to years in jail?

take 'em down and learn from this.

I'm a risk taker, so I say take the chance and keep it going. I doubt the guy would say anything to a LEO and if they are planning a jack move. The jack move is going to happen whether your plants are still there or not.

Check my story dude, it doesnt take nothing but a hunch for people to come rob you whether your home or not.. Grew up knowing many peeps who happened unfort to get tied up and robbed just because a cousin was in town and he had nada to loose.... Ive always been extra careful but its not about will they come, its when! :spank: :badday:

remember that people talk ... and talk ... and talk . remove all ganja plants . store any seeds you have in a container buried in the ground and think about growing some basil or tomatoes with your equipment . do this for 3-4 months. anyone intending to snatch your harvest will come within this time period . if they do come, they will find legal vegetables and the blabber will look like an idiot . after that, you are good to grow.
