A theoretical tincture question...

If I took a half oz of good quality bud, soaked it in everclear for a while using one of the recipes in this fine forum, but then took and evaporated the alcohol, does the THC evaporate with it, or would it stay in the jar like a residue? If the cannabinoids don't evaporate, then you could tweak the potency of the tincture endlessly, or let all of the alcohol evaporate, scrape up the residue and have some seriously narcotic weed-crack. Any thoughts?

The good news... THC doesn't evaporate!!
However cooking it down to residue, I'm not so sure...
I would think that by the time your 'boiled down tincture' reaches a certain concentration (to beyond its THC/Cannabinoid 'saturation point') it would begin to vaporize itself...

Here's an idea:
Try boiling it down to a certain level, then leave it uncovered for a week, I bet most of the alcohol would evaporate from there.

go to the hash forum and look up qwiso...if you evaporate all the alcohol you will be left with hash oil....weed-crack is accurate

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I figured just leaving it out in a warm (not hot) place would do the trick. I also figured that if that works, then it's probably been done already. I've also been told using isopropyl alcohol can create some potent partaking.

As the alcohol evaporates try adding honey to make a a low alcohol elixer.
