A good evening fellow magers:tiphat:, been away from the net a good ten years but back to learn about the vast changes I see in strains and equipment.

I decided to give leds a go in a 2' x 2' former boiler cupboard and got sold on some reasonable priced 110w cob/led vari. well constructed, very bright and cool running and having grown with most other things over 20 years about the extent of my knowledge on leds:biggrin:

Iv purchased the lamps for a veg room but as im waiting for the climate to warm may as well start with an attempted full grow to see if the lights are up to it or my or my skills are:laughing:

All very casual in my approach everyone welcome for the ride.

Nice man, I have to say I haven't experienced as much stretch with LED's as I have with HPS. I've not run the blurple LED's though (seems like you have that or a combo). Are you able to let us know what brand/specs you have there?

Thanks for the interest Brother Nature.
Im a little embarrassed to say how much I payed for the cobs and have also had good reports from friends who also purchased.

I will get the tecnical data I can find but off the top of my head draw at the plug is 110watts the full spectrum cobs 50w with the rest being blue & red 10 w diodes totally variable output.

Claims to be the equivilant to 1000w but i dont believe the hype, its performed well in veg under 1 so iv put 3 in to give it a run for its money in bloom (less then $100 for all 3 but ive seen them at double that price)

Nice those should do fine. My first LED was a cob attached to a heatsink and driver, somewhat like yours, but without the additional red lights. They claimed it was as good as a 400w hps, but it really only produced 65w of power. Was still good enough to get about 3 oz's out of a small 40x40cm tent though so yours should do well. Good luck man.
