a room that is warm

I had my plants under 5 two foot T5's and that was my little setup. Veg and bloom under same lights untill i decided to use my closet. Now i have a 400w and a 250w bulb under a reflector i fixed up to take both bulbs. The closet is very warm and all the hairs were white now they are mostly all brown. They were 5 weeks into bud when they got moved into the closet and within a day the hairs darkened up. I realized it was the heat that did it, the lights were about a foot away so now the question is can they even darken the gland heads. About 6 1/2 weeks into flowering now and i noticed a bunch of darkened glands and i'm wondering if the heat from the lights did it or could have burnt them. I got 2 fans in there with the closet door a bit open for ventillation at the moment.

Darkend glands?
What do you mean by that? What is the temps in the room like?

a foot away with a 400 watter can be too close.... is any of the leaves crispy or turning upwards? Bleached white? The hairs you are referring to do brown on there own, but heat can cause them to brown, would have to see pictures to tell you if heat caused it or not.....

meant darkened resin gland heads and yes there were leaves turned upwards and the edges crispy on some leaves. The temp in the room now averages 85 Fahrenheit and sometimes a bit warmer. The first day it was probably up around a 100 degrees Fahrenheit so now can the heat also darken the resin glands

Ya, sounds like heat stress man, the temps have got to come down too dude 100 F would crisp up anything on the plant in a closed up area like that.

I would remove the higher wattage light if you can't get temps down with more fans.

You got pics of them?

vent, move air more, bring in more fresh air, outside air, anything to get those temps down to around 80 at the most. Your gonna end up stressing your plants, which will reduce your yield, and cause the buds to be light and airy. If you can, get them to another spot, see what you can do to get those temps down by either moving the air out more or bringing in more fresh air, but you gotta do something to get those temps down.

Take the 250 off line until you resolve the heat issue. Plants can become "rubbery" and limp with too much heat as well as cooking them to a crisp.

A test run should be conducted before placing your plants into the grow system.
