today with the cold temperatures and conditions, snow came as low as 1500', and snowed on some of eastern San Diego County!
This is some pretty RAD STUFF! Places like Romona and (of course Julian) had snow banks and all!

I have a friend with pictures, and Ill try to post em for people to see...

And so I guess global warming really is a big deal huh? LOL suuuuure, not really buying that BS :nono:

Anyone here see it?
the only thing i saw was the traffic

I remember going to Julian as a kid almost annually to sled. But in chula vista....it never snowed. I remember 32F temps in the mornings sometimes.....but never snow.

Then i moved to alaska....lol.

I've been trapped in my house since november man! well not really, but that must be pretty cool for someone who doesn't get to live with it 6 months of the year. go build a snow fort, best time you will ever have

I guess you don't understand global warming it means there will be unusual weather conditions in places. Ie. snow in the Desert multi digits in snow country

As for global warming... I used to believe it was us doing it... but there's evidence that the sun itself has warmed up, causing this to happen.

Wrap your heads around this... every planet in our solar system has warmed up a few degrees. We didn't warm those planets with our cabon dioxide... it is the sun warming up. Governments like the global warming idea because it means they can impose a carbon tax... which is forthcoming, as I understand it.

BTW... we have much snow here too. More than 7 feet of it in front of the house. I have to shovel the WINDOWS so we can se outside!

The snowbanks on the sides of the roads are so high, road signs are dissapearing. The bank in front of my place is over 8 foot tall now, dwarfing me as I stand next to it... And I'm a pretty big fellow. Road crews are running out of places to put the snow. I've never seen a winter like this one. COLD, SNOWY.

Global Warming exist because of the US doing cold war experiments at McMurdough Station in Antarctica in the late 70s. Through there experiment they unintentially burned a hole in the ozone layer above the south pole.... Thanks guys ....

Dont believe me?

How did CFC's (which only exist in populous nations) cause a hole in the ozone layer?
Wouldnt nearly all the world CFCs be in the northern hemisphere, cause thats where all the populated countries are? and i thought weather patterns dont cross at the Equator?
so how are CFCs in the northern hemisphere creating a hole in the ozone layer above Antarctica?

and thats why we have global warming ;)

:muahaha: no no no, we're responsible for the ice melting on Mars :bashhead:! (jk) It's just easier to bitch about it and place quick blame than to actually do anything to better this planet... carbon tax...but yet the US rejected being part of the Kyoto Agreement. NAU here we come!

It happens...

It happens...

About every 20 years. Keep off the roads if possible, dang few SouCals know how to drive in snow! I lived there the first 30 years of my life- snowed exactly once! The resulting traffic problems were INSANE!

Global warming is a fact. The weather will go "crazy". A good example are the January/February tornadoes we have had recently. February is the LOWEST month for tornadoes- yet, read this article-

http://www.9news.com/rss/article.aspx?storyid=85923

What does that tell you? The average number of tornadoes in January and February total about 40 and that had been it for the last 30-40 years. Now in January and February 2008 (so far!), we get 204? Now, statistically, that is one heck of a jump! That is more than a five-fold increase. Doubling, maybe even tripling, I could "buy" as a fluke. But X5? That is just dang scary! And February isn't over! And from what I put together, it is only going to get worse. I would study what the "El Nino" does to your local weather. "El Nino" winters are what happen when the ocean gets warmer than usual. If the Earth gets warmer, it would seem logical, that the "El Nino" effects would intensify. Read this-

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/01/080128113104.htm

It really doesn't matter whether this is being caused by the sun heating up or by our own ecological misconduct- there are things that can be done to slow the warming. Planting more plants, is one thing (if they are outdoors!). A good sized tree produces enough oxygen for a family of four, according to my electric company. Switch to CFLs in your home lighting, and maybe in the seedling room, too. Think about combining trips- put off going out until you have 3 or 4 things to do ( shop, pick up stuff at the cleaners, score, hit the library, whatever), so you use less gas. Start THINKING!

There is an old Yankee saying- "Use it up, wear it out, make do, or do without!" This "old style" thinking, will be our future. The amount of money we are spending on this insane war (plus all the "Black Ops" money that we never hear of), will run us into, at best, a recession. You might want to read up on "The Great Depression", again, it well may be our future! I think we still have a small amount of time to avoid a real depression, but it is still "iffy". Be careful! - Granny :joint:
