A question for strain experts and master breeders

Just curios... If i had maybe 10 clone only strains.. and i wanted to make seeds of them, seeds as close to the mother plants as possible - and if time/space was an issue..

should i grow out the mothers in one room - and just hit one branch on each with one of those grow shop silver thiosphate mix formulas (after marking the branches)... then wait ...collect the little bit of pollen, then dust the female flowers on each plant... ending up with femaleseeds?

or... find one good male.. and polinate them all?

If i went this second route ...what would be a good strain to find a male from... the best strain for breeding and keeping the various offspring as close to their mother as possible?

Any help/suggestions appreciated!

Will,

I am not a strain expert or master breeder, however.

The S1 option will get you closer to the original, although “clone only” usually means hybrid so there will be considerable variation. If you choose to find a male, one from the same stain would be logical choice to come as close to the parent as possible. In neither case will you get copies of the mother plants and likely will have to look through many plants to find one similar to the parent.
