A question for all auto-flower growers, breeders and smokers..

Well, I thought this would be the best place for this question hopefully someone like lowryder, SaH, chubbynugs will stop by but anyone else with knowledge will do...now to the question...

I have 50 masterlow on ~10days in and I'm stuck deciding what to do...first off the main purpose for this is to create seeds it will be floro's to 1000w STRICTLY for seeds for the summer so....

If you where in my situation and where going to grow for seeds for summer would you just do a regular cross with male pollin, knowing you could grow out indoor and take males out before putting them outside, or would you risk it using CS or STS or acid for female seeds? the reason I say "risk" is because I never made female seeds before and I'm worried of problems that could occur.....so what would you do? anyone to drop 2 cents would be appreciated thanks IC

I've just began using STS. Not working out so well for me. Maybe you can do better but I suggest make lots of regular seeds first then try STS. I think you have to stagger the grows and hit them before they flower. Not sure though.

Yeah it seems regular seeds...than indoor sexing would be the safe way but than I have males so numbers are going to be cut down, any one else with some input? It's the type of thing where I kind of have 1 try and if I fail the whole summer fails, thats why I think its pretty risky to use a feminization method instead of just using regular seeds and taking out males..thanks for your input vicious bee ^_^

Hey, I did a seed run recently for Summer outside Autos. It seems that with a three week til sexing timeline it works out great. Nurture the little ones under lights/greenhouse until they show, then out they go. Then keep on doing it all Summer for a staggered harvest. Different plots, eggs are spread out in different baskets. Keep some of your male pollen and hit various girls that display traits you like. Good luck.

Personally I wouldn't risk my whole summer grow. Try feminizing on some of the summer plants.

You should have staggered them and saved the male pollen from the first run to pollenate the females from the second run.

id grow out the regulars, pollinate to get a seed stash for your summer grow. then play around with feminising with a few of the offspring. that way you will still have your summer grow but also perfect the art of feminising for next summer

Well I'm doing exactly what your doing accept im using CS and its working great I had some balls start poking out 2 days ago hopefully they pop sometime soon, I will be using it on my purple jems that got dispatched today if I don't ruin the pollen in the 1 month or so it might take before I sex them up.

I got balls on mine but they never made any pollen. I opened up some of the non opened pods and they didn't seem to have any pollen in them. I think it was because I waited to late to spray. STS will have to wait for me. Maybe later in the year for next year but probably for this year it's a bust. I wanted to Fem some long term Sativas. Would be great for outdoors. Set and forget.

Yeah, exact same thing took place to my friend when using CS......I don't mind making regular seeds anyways, autoflowers sex pretty fast...thanks for your comments and progression/expierence on your side though.

Just cross em regularly.. as stated already. The males wont be around long anyways, easy to remove.

Do a regular cross to make tons of regular seeds. Then use those seeds to play with.

I'm actually growing some f2 diesel ryders right now!! I got tons of seeds from just one female that I bred with my best male! Now I have enough seeds to try out the STS method and not kick my self in the ass if it doesn't work! But I wish you goodluck on whatever you decide

Well it's not so much about luck I don't believe in that anyways, if the conditions are good, I'll get a good yeild and I been working with MasterLow for around 3 years I think, and this isn't my first time making seeds....but what lighting where you using, pot size and how many seeds from that female? thanks for your post and contribution ^______^

For the first 3 weeks I had them in my hydroponic grow box with (4) 2' t5 floro's in 3.75" pots and when it started flowering I transfered the plant into my hydrofarm bucket with a 250w hps light. I didn't pollenate the top cola so I ended up with about 100 seeds!

well I see around 50 MASTERLOW, in a around a 4x4 it was like 2x2 with floros before i put them into 3L on around day 14, than added the 4x4 and two 400w HPS and still the floros.....but im going to switch that with a veg/flower spectrum 1000 ... and im going to pollinate everything like a desert storm .... watch out for the thread everyone! gonna be here in the next couple weeks but under a different name
