"A psychedelic voyage uniquely mapping the growth cycle of the Warlock Plant."
Magus is the new EP by the Ambient/Folk duo of Craig Murphy and Ed Drury, better known to us as Shoosh. The Duo formerly a Trio featuring Singer/Songwriter Neil Carlill who worked with them on the Orpheum Circuit album, have delivered a rather beautiful follow-up EP to their 2009 release Return of The Silver Surfer.
Always keen to work from a conceptual basis the Magus EP is no different, although the inspiration itself could be construed as somewhat different! The 4 tracks map the growth cycle of the Warlock Plant from seed to flower and encapsulate the perceived emotional responses from each stage. On a strictly musical level, it is perhaps their most concise and enjoyable release yet.
Since their last release Craig and Ed have been busy as always working on their Solo Projects, with Murphy releasing his Alien Genome Project album as Solipsism and Drury working as ever on various collaborations and soundtrack projects.
The Magus EP will be released on the 2nd of August 2010 as CD and Digital Download.

I like it a lot personally, it’s great to “wind down” at the end of a stressful day.
