A small village in Somerset we’re having a festive party in the local pub / club house when an American chap walked in and asked if he could have a drink?,,,
Que stunned silence when people realised who the stranger was and then the “ stranger” bought the whole pub a drink and had lots of pics and selfie’s whilst having a great time,,,,

If we're sharing "war stories", a friend was having a couple drinks at the local Hard Rock cafe in Aspen in the early 90's.

Since Don Hennley had a house in Aspen, it was quote common for him to play a few sets during the week on their stage.

On the night in question, my buddy was having a couple drinks and listening to Don play. When he finished up with his second song, he got on the mic and said, "I'd like to bring up a few friends to play a few songs."

And up came the rest of The Eagles. At the end of their set, they announced their reunion tour.

I wonder if ole Nic joined the 2020 challenge...

iirc correct he sold the castle and house in bath a few years later
