hey guys
im growing NL and about two weeks ago i noticed that a few leaves a curling at the edges. i waited 10 days to water my plant which is in a 5 gallon pot. i thought the curling was due to lack of water. so i waited only 8 days the last time iwatered which was on the 3rd. the plants are showing new growth daily. ive got an oscillting fan on 24/7 and my 400 watt light is about 24 inches away from the top of the plant. is this curling normal? thanks in advance.

Tricky watering in a 5 gallon container. You got the right idea by waiting quite a while to water. Light should be closer to the tops. Maybe 15". Don't let the fan blow directly on the plant but rather blow around the room.

i can move the lamp closer but im still concerned about the leaves. do you think they are a sign of worse things to come. the color is fine so i dont think they really are sick but i dont know if they are as healthy as possible. so basically should i not worry about the leaf curls?

im using whitney farms life link. its 100percent organic. and the last watering i added 1tbsp of LK and tbsp of seabird guano (1-10-0). next time im going to do a tea.

I don't think its your ferts, looks like moisture stress to me since it sounds like you got your fan directed at your leaves. Try to reposition the fan, so its moving air around in the room yet the leaves aren't taking the stress from being so dryed out from the fan. think your setup and ferts are otherwise good. healthy leaves otherwise. Good luck

actually my fan is oscillating. it does blow the air around the room and its good 7 or 8 feet away from the plant. as far as moisture stress well theres hardly any moisture in the air. i live in so cal and its very dry and arid here. perhaps im giving too much water to my plant when i water. at least a cup of water drains out when i water.

well after lowering the lamp down to 15 in inches and then measurin the temp i find that my plant is suffering from heat stress. the temp measured at 86 degrees. so basically i just moved them to the point where the temp at the top of the plant is around 73 degrees with humidity at 22 percent.

yup...high temps combined with low RH will do that. Have you considered getting a cool mist humidifier for the grow area? In veg, the plants like 60-70% RH...then let it drop in flowering to around 40-50%.
