A killer pest

Dont let any common house moths anywhere near your grow.I was always too concerned about spidermites to give a moth flying around a second thought. The next thing I know is she laid eggs and I had green catepillars eating my leaves and burrowing into the stalk.I had about a half dozen burrowed so deep I needed tweezers to get them out.I probably removed about 30 catepillars from 8 plants. The plants recovered like a motherfucker but the whole thing was unsettleing

lol that is interesting...i get them every year outdoors, ive even bought street weed so fresh it still had LIVE grubs in it! ive also found several dead ones over the years in street weed. i remember when i was a kid, the other kids called them "thc grubs" and said that if you smoke them you get super high, thankfully i was never dumb enough to believe that but there were a lot of people that honestly believed they ate so much pot just smoking them would get you high.

i never really get pests, mainly because i use a TON of diatomacious earth...i mean i coat the soil in my beds once a month or so and it gets mixed into the soil as time goes by, so no little fungus gnats, smider mites, or thrips for me...i really feel like if more people used more diatomacious earth pests would be much less of a problem. they seem much worse if you wait for an infestation and have to use toxic poison to keep them out...diatomacious earth is food safe meaning you could eat it if you want, yet continual use will keep the pests from ever reaching a number that would be considered an "infestation"

i dont' think DE will really work on moths or grubs though...you should always make sure you are clean before you go in your grow and don't go from outdoor woods to indoor grows without a shower and fresh clothes...i would also suggest killing all the moths you see, although the moths that cause problems with pot only come out in the fall, i think they are the same moth that lays eggs in acorns...so maybe pay extra attention to those in the fall, but as a rule you should always avoid letting any bug in your grow, KNOWING FULL WELL that most bugs that affect your crop are too small to see in most stages of life...

white dots on leaves

white dots on leaves

Hi I`m trying to find out what bug my plants have got but so far no luck. I thought it was spider mites , treated plants but stiull getting this white spotting on leaves which under the microscope has little black patches near to the damage. I check them a lot but have never seen anything alive , apart from some caterpiullars a few weeks ago which I could just pick off and kill anyway. This white spreading over the leaves is worrying . Seems to dry the leaves out before they seem to slowly die. ANY HELP PLEASE ?

The catepillars are green and hard to see too,My vegroom isnt sealed like my flower room is so I have to be on constant guard for those fuckers.I kill them in the living room they come in through the not so sealed doggie door.I used Safer catepillar killer straight off but I swear days after a total soaking I was still pulling them off.I hope this helps someone because I never see threads about moths.I'm dense it was my hydro gal that told me it was moths
