This is my first time running anything sativa dom., I currently have 1 chocolate lemonade ( chocolope x SSSDH ) in its 72nd day of flowering..(log is in my sig.) w/ mostly cloudy trichs..

My question is does this hybrid ever show ANY amber trichs? I don't want to waste time / electric costs letting it flower for an extended period of time if it turns out to never go past cloudy/milky trichs..I've read that some sativa. dom./ mostly sativa hybrids *usually* don't amber up much IF any? I have no experience in the sativa field other than smoking them lol.. so anyone with experience feel free to chime in..

ALSO Is it better to harvest these when they're all milky? Would ambering bring the overall buzz quality down? It has been flushing for close to 4 weeks now(2 w/ humboldt honey ES and 2 plain PH'd water), bud mass , smell and visable trichs are at their max. I originally planned on letting it go to abt 80ish days if not longer if needed but hopefully I'm not overshooting it lol

I'm not in a rush in any way, just curious and want to understand better.. till now I've ran indica/sativa hybrids exclusively that usually were ready & showed amber trichs to my liking by the 9th/10th week~ so my experience is limited to these type of strains..

Thanks in advance!:tiphat:

hi bro

after looking at your chocolate lemonade id say she is def ready to come down

chocolope can be cut at 8 weeks so that will bring the 10-11 week haze flowering time down a bit

she looks more than ready and i cant see any new pistils forming
alot of hazes like you said are cut with alot less amber trichomes
4 week flush ,man that is going to be so tasty
look forward to your smoke report

peace

Hey OJD.. thanks for the scoop!.. If it tastes anything like it smells I'm gonna b in heaven.. 4 week flush did seem a little extreme but I think it will pay off ;)..I'll prob. take your advice and harvest in the next few days.. gonna let her dry the pot a little more.

Here's a few pics I snapped before the lights went out.. here she is @ 72 days of 12/12

So far I've gotten a strong cannalope/melon smell(sweet) with lemony funk(sour) undertones with a strong background skunky aroma to round it off.. especially when touched/squeezed lightly..Very resinous/greasy lookin' plant to say the least!.. all my clothing that brushes up against it when working in the tent seems to take a few washes to get the smell off lol.. deff. pungent!

I'll be posting up some harvest pics with a smoke report to follow in my log when I'm done.. hopefully my nasal allergies will b a bit better by then.. I'll give as accurate of a description as possible at that time... thanks again! :)

hi bro

sounds like a perfection description of smell and seems like you got the winner

the melon come from the chocolope(canalope)and the lemon from the sssdh
sounds delicous and a perfect blend of both parents
look forward to your harvest pics with smoke report

peace
