A couple questions for the wise

Hey guys, I recently transplanted 6 bagseed little ones into a 430 hps room. This is my second gro and I had the same problem last time. The leaves are starting to twist and warp. Someone on here told me to add dolomite lime so Im going to buy that today, my question is how do I add it? Cna i mix it with water or I put it directly on the soil? The mix they are in is miracle gro soil, worm castings, perlite and vermiculite

My second question is nutrients, I had nutrients called bionic, but they do not specify if they have micro nutrients whihc i know are required. I have other miracle gro nutrients that have these other micronutrients and Im wondering if i can use these at the same time as the bionic stuff. SHould I mix them together in the same water or should I water them with one thing one time and then the next watering hit them with the other stuff?

I've also been looking into making a worm castings tea, can anyone fill me in on how I should go about doing that too? I appreciate all your help guys and you're knowledge is helping me get higher than I've ever been, this is one of the most interesting things I've ever done and I love the reward but I definatly love the whole growing part just as much... well not so much :sasmokin:

take care and much respek

The dolomite lime should be mixed into the soil at 2 tbs per gallon of soil. I have heard of people putting it into the water but I am not sure how effective that is.

I am not familar with the bionic nutes, but I wouldnt use them both at the same time. You also dont need to add vermiculite to your mix. This is used to retain water....

Yah, mixed in the soil is best. But I've had good luck outdoors just spreading it on the ground and waiting for rain. Specific amounts I can't say, but sure, in the water or mixed into the top half inch of soil, then watered.

Are you using the same soil (recyled?) Check the ph of the run off water. If you are not acidic, consider a flush to correct nutrient salt buildup.

peace

Hello there. As far as nutes go, I like the standard orchid food (urea free 20-10-20 for veg.). I have encountered no problems and growth is beautiful and green.

Sounds like you are overferting. Mircle grow, bionic and now worm tea. A little hot with the synthetic nutes there. We have a whole line up of soil mixtures, tea mixtures and their applications in Organic Soil. The link to the OFC is in my signature.

Give me a line up of your soil mixture and fert. schedule and amounts. We need more details to give you a correct answer, otherwise we would be just guessing and could cause you more problems. And could you post some pictures of your plants?

The twisting and warping of the leaves is a indication it is to HOT and stale in the room. That is the first sign of your air ventilation not being properly brought in and out. The lime is for more ph adjusting than anything. Id first start with getting the heat and air movement under control.

over feeding nutes. your soil mix doesent need lime i use the same thing and no twisting cut down your fertz or try fox farm grow big once or twice a week.

I have not given the plants any new nutrients yet, the only thing they have right now is the worm castings and whatever is in the miracle gro soil mix, anyways, what i was trying to say was it doesnt say anywhere on my ionic nutrients that it has micronutrients, so im assuming it doesnt have any. I was wondering if I could supplement these micronutrients every other week or something along those lines to give the plant what it needs.I'm not using recycled soil, its all fresh. I don't really think its heat cause its sitting around 80 degree about 3-4 feet away from the light, i have a bathroom exhaust fan pulling air out the room with a passive intake located in the opposite end of the gro. I also have an air cleaner running in there just to keep the air flowin. thanks again
