It is almost a cliche'. The anti-gay politician who ends up having a gay son. Suddenly they are pro gay rights. The anti drug crusader, who's kid get's caught with dope, suddenly drug abuse is a "disease."


We all live in our own personal Matrix, until life becomes too real.



My question is: Has anyone here, ever changed their mind on a big issue, without a personal connection?


I am lacking faith in humanity right now. You would really help.



Has anyone here, on a major issue, looked at the facts, and changed their minds, without the help of a life changing event happening to you?

The facts are not usually the happy sunny side of a situation, the facts usually suck and are hard to deal with this is why so many people prefer having smoke blown up their ass.

I try to look at the facts before making a decision, then I go from there.

I have always had an open mind, an I judge people on the heart not the color,race or sexual freakiness...the gay community buys a lot of dope ...I have had quite a few customers/friends that are gay...you can slap my ass but don't try an kiss me on the lips.. and it only costs ya a makers mark and whatever dark beer on tap ..lol..no I haven't needed to have a change of heart...I grew up in the system and learned to be humble early and compassionate ...still will kick ass if needed tho....peace..with one exception I renounced the religion I was brought up in..
