i have a 9x7 room that is 8 feet high built into a garage with 2x4 and drywall. i have a GE window A/c that I think it 8000 BTU. Today it was 80 outside, 83 in the room and 83 in the garage. It won't get much hotter this summer but it will get hotter. I'm wondering do I just put the A/C in the wall of the room. Would it be better to put it high or low on the wall? Will the A/C exhaust the room air into the garage (smell)? I figure I need to have it at least a little off the ground because to drain the water that will run off the back... I figured I would just set it to 75. It would be nice if I could set it to 65 when lights were off and 75 with lights on.... Any ideas would be very much appreciated!
