or a lot....I'm 56 and just finished a 31 plant outdoor project this past season...now I'm tryin' my hand at indoor...used sunshine mix #4 and some leftover earth juice...my water comes from an aquifer and ph's around 8.2-9.8...after some reading it seems ph is only important to hydro growers...more reading and find white vinegar drops the ph...4 teaspoons/gal lowers it to around 6...then a friend suggested dolomite lime...I'll post a few pics of the plants when their sun comes up in about an hour...meanwhile...any probs you see with my tek would be appreciated...;)))

my outdoor plants were healthy and happy the whole season...using untreated water from my tap...:dunno:

You might want to Google "Leaf Cupping". The plants are stressed and I always try to search the symptom.
Good luck,

Ph IS important in soil. 6.0-6.8 seems like a good start .Your PH is high,It causes the plant not to be able to use the available nutrients(Lock Out).Ph isn't as important in organic soil where it sorts it out itself.Powdered Dolomite lime (garden Lime) is good for PH. 2 TBS per gallon of soil. I use a coffee bean grinder and gring it up and add it when mixing soils

PS there are organic ph up and down. The problem with the home solutions is they don't hold the PH for very long.

my tap water comes out around 5.5 and dont experience problems.i dont mess with the ph at all but i am growing in an organic mix.ive heard the microheard and the lime even things out.If i pour water through my plant and collect the runoff she comes out in the 6.5 range.so lime and a good soil mix help me.my situation may be completely different as my ph is nothing like yours. But i suspect if the soil was up to snuff you wouldnt have a problem.Im by no means an expert!
