96watt fluorescent soil grow - Northern Lights

Just wanted to share a grow I'm currently doing. The station is a 2' x 2 3/4' bureau with 3 - 23 watt compact fluorescent and two long tubes one 10w and the other 17w. I have 3 clones (2 NL 1 mystery) taken off outdoor plants, because of a postal strike 2 of them were planted late and never made it to they're full potential - . Same goes for the third plant - late start.

Two of the clones are Northern lights from peakseeds
the other one is an unknown very skunky and resinous sativa dominant clone I was growing for a friend , has that stinky delicious smell sativa hybrids have.
in the group shot you can see the purple Texada Timewarp x sweet skunk also from peak, the gifted (unknown) strain between them and the three northern lights in the front ( only cloned two phenos).
All plants were seeded to some extent Unknown and one of the northern lights are barely seeded.

Will post back with update.

Pics: Remember: Indoor clones are form the outdoor plants weeks later.

In the group shot you can see the purple Texada Timewarp x sweet skunk also from peak, the gifted (unknown) strain between them and the three northern lights in the front ( only cloned two phenos).

My NL have glossy dark green leaves. Are yours the same?

I think Glossy dark leaves only become relevant with the right growing procedure, I'm sure they would be in the right setup! My NL reminds me of the pure, light green, low odour, Classic smell -True Old school indoor pot in my mind , only time will tell.

I Hate to say it but fluorescent grows always seem to be "Slower than expected" :)

I got frustrated with just CFL so added a 70w HPS. It made a massive difference! (Just my 2 penneth worth ;) )

That would be nice Canny!! do the 70w HPS require a ballast? I have a 400w ballast and access to them but I have no ventilation as of yet, so maybe I'll get something rigged up in the future or perhaps a designated room?! Also My leaves have been slowly getting darker and have put on shinier coat.

The 70w HPS does require a ballast, yes. However, the ventilation is more important. Let your girls breathe! :)
Glad the leaves are getting better ;)

I started out with a setup like this 1.Those will do nicely till you can get a better lite.Just think of it this way.At least you wont need to buy any and it will be better than alot of the street smoke:comfort:

Enjoy and have fun:tiphat:

Your exactly right Odie, I am actually very surprised with my results and should be harvesting some decent bud in a month or so. K.I.S.S method. some more shots @ day 36. I've named the Unknown strain "Grand Funk" as it has that funky citrus smell that a lot of sativa dominant strains have. There are pictures of some Texada timewarp/??? x Sweet Skunk F2's from Peakseeds genetics also. They are in window at close to 9 hours of light per day with what appears to be a male popping haha.

Edit: I hit all the little nodes on all three plants with a little KC33 pollen And it appears I may have got lucky, wasn't sure the pollen took as it's been in storage since last season.

@ day 48 flowering

@ day 48 flowering

Update: Flowering is coming along. May have over fed my sat-dom clone, will be feeding plants water or (Water/Molasses/kelp fert as needed) for the next 3-4 weeks as their seems to be ample nutrients in the soil. Some try's at photography with slight exposure changes for those interested. Pictures:NL, NL, Unknown.

NL from peak = BCSC NL#5 seed stock which is pre 1995 NL#2(Oasis - Dutch passion) x Sensi Seeds NL from what I understand..

Peace, Yourbuddy
