I'm harvesting a beauty tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to take some choice branches out into the daylight and photograph them with my gf's fancy camera. I'll try and get them up by this weekend.

Beautiful flowers and thank you for the story.

I would get in touch with the one guy who worked the Chemdog you gave to him in to seed, he did a pretty great job of breeding it.

Holla Good ole Dog, Nice post.
So, first off, sucks you got stiffed on the cuts, this seems to happen a lot and is probably why a lot of people have/get fakes. You mention Chem D as being crap? Well I love that crap!! what makes it crap, to you? maybe that one was a fake too? The one I have is so strong and tasty its in my top 5 keeper cuts. The smell is unreal You would have to make concerntrates to get any stronger effects from raw herb.
Weither the D is an outcross of the original '91 and not a sister plant (as a few believe) I don't really care, as i love it!
The '91 I have does look v. similar to what mrgoodbuds has posted, same stretchy look and leaf shape. (pretty similar to the ECSD) I will know more when I harvest it, in around a month. Shame I cant send you a sample for verification, maybe in the future.
I don't see why you couldn't make money off having the original Chemdawg, you just need to market it right, i'm sure most of America would buy some original Chemdawg from skunk va/ Good ole dog so I say Go for it!
Mack.

Last pics are mouthwatering, very nice color and thricomes fields. the Real Deal !
Thanks good ole dog for posting back here at IC..

I have a question regardin this Chem'91 cut:
is possible that this cut had been called Original diesel from the NY crew, when it reached there?

What are, in your opinion, the differences between:

Chem D
Chem '91
Chem Sis

Did you ever try crossing chem'91?

Great thread and the truth always comes out in the end, I have a feeling she will repay you for looking after her for all these years. What's your thoughts on chem 4?

Cheers kit

well, maybe I didn't get it clear. sorry, I was carrying on... that trade was between myself and chemdog,
if it was a fake, then he gave me a fake. it was nothing like the chemdog.
the trade was supposed to be for "the sister". but once I got there, I was given, what he called the chem d.
I don't care anymore. but I hope that never happens to me again. that's all.

Hey y'all. Mr.goodbudz, although that's a nice looking chem cross, totally can see it in there, it's not the original cut. Clear as day. And that's the thing. For the last 10 years, we've all seen so many fakes. Not knocking your work by the way..at least that one looks like is has some chem in it.
Sorry it took so long to get back in here, my life is stoopid busy.
Here's the deal... I'm not sure how many people have the same cut. I'm sure it's out there, but I know exactly who I gave it to, and that list is small. The guy who gave it to me in 95 hasn't had it in 15 years. When I gave it back to chemdog in 2006 it seems that he hadn't had it in a good while, and I heard that he didn't have it long after that... So how and when did the original cut get passed Around? I know it was stolen from my friends house (RIP) around 2000 in cottage grove, OR... I never forget anything. I'm sure some of the NY crew has it still. I was told "DON'T ever give this to ANYBODY" and I'm a man of my word. So that's what's up. I gave it to 5 people over all these years, and as far as I know only one of those people did anything real with it. I'm not bragging, but enough is enough.
A name is a name and it should mean something. And to me it still does.
Think about it.... you are given genetics at the height of the War on Weed, before we had the luxury of talking to one another like this. Before carbon filters for crissakes...
I mean I met that dude in a park while I was hustling "medicine" as we call it today... whats the chances? Only catch? Don't give it to anyone. I took that to heart like a good deadhead should... only to watch the desire for the chemdog disappear because of so many disappointing fakes being passed around and shown. On the market floor, who wants to look at some good ole chemdog after they already saw some bullshit with the same name..
So yeah, a name should mean something and at one point it did.
Maybe it does once again, maybe now that we can all start coming out of the shadows it will be harder for people to just ride the name that's hot.
I hope so. You think every wine grape grower just names their recently harvested cabernet pinot noir so they can get a couple more bucks a pound?? Nah.
I'm glad there are people out there and on this and other forums that still care what's what..But that didn't help pay the bills over all these years. I had to shelve it to make room for what's hot to get that done.
Well, no more, the Labour of love will rule. I'm convinced. Maybe I'm just too high on chemdog shatter to see reality. Lol.. We'll see....
I love cannabis but I'm of the opinion that most strains would be that much better with some raunchy, fumey, chemy, sinus saturating earth funk mixed in... I know I'm not alone. Some of us seem to possess a certain type of cannabis receptor or combination of receptors that need some diesel fuel ganja to satisfy..

So. Unfortunately, in 06 when I travelled 3000 miles in the friendly skies to make that above mentioned trade...I was told, maybe publicly, that I was trading for "the sister"....That's not what ended up happening. I ended up getting, after waiting for days, my old superskunk back And the chem d, which was crap if you ask me..I'm not going to continue to talk about that, but if that ever happens again... fuck that. Let's all keep this stuff straight. It matters now and it always has.. with the ability
To identify and measure single terpenes and terpenoids, faking it or lying about it, will simply not be possible.
With that being said, I'm ready to take her out of the shadows and let her mingle. I want to make it to some of the cups this year and check it out, share some chemdog flowers and concentrates. I'm Old Skool and that has it's price. But it looks like our side is going to win, it's inevitable, and I want to enjoy that.
What's your thoughts on a good hybrid with the chemdog?
This forum and others have been great. So grateful...

Thanks for the history lesson. I love shit like this.

Do you think there's any possibility that the '91 cuts floating about now were passed out prior to you getting your cut?

Peace

Interesting story Good Ole Dog, thanks for sharing. It's nice to see you took good care of her after all of these years.

It looks like your '91 cut has some stand out features so it shouldn't be too hard to pick out what's real from whats not.
After researching the chem cuts for many years I'd say there is some pretty convincing fakes out there (if they are fake), it will be the subtle nuances that really determine authenticity.

The '91 has always been the most interesting of all the chems to me.

In your opinion do you think the '91 is related to the ECSD or original Og Kush? I see similarities to both in the pictures you posted.

The cuts that are floating around as the '91 even if they are not the real '91 still look like some nice cuts.

I had always thought based on internet research that there was more than one cut carrying the '91 tag, you can clearly see one looks more like a Sour/OG mix the other in the chem 101 thread is a very low yielding plant that looks more like the GSC with tight knobby buds.
