90% Humidity !!HELP!!

I have a fresc* sol water cooled fixture. Humidity lights on/off is 90%. The water cooled fixture does not generate enough heat to dissipate the moisture in the air , lights on/off.
My questions:
1.Would a 4" fan/exaust be enough to drop humidity 40% give/take?
2.What size dehumidifier for a 4x4?
3.What is your advice/my best option?

So apparently you're not using an exhuast fan in your setup.

Watercooled lights or not,your plant's still need fresh air/exhaust to bring in fresh air and co2 and expell stagnent humid air.

Correct , i am just opening the door daily to exchange air. IF i do get a active exhaust will it be enough? Basically , buy a small fan JUST for new oxygen and get a dehumidifier OR buy a larger fan that will definitely reduce the humidity to an acceptable level and look at C02.

any fan is better than no fan. if you wanna go 4", go for it. in a 4x4 i usually go 6"...


as far as dehumidifier in a 4x4... not necessary. just get your air exchange proper and you won't have sky high rh%...

as far as co2, same thing pretty much. get your air exchange proper and the fresh air brings in co2 for the plants...
also, co2 is only for SEALED room applications... otherwise you are just throwing money away

Get a 6" inline centrifugal exhuast fan (NOT a inline duct booster from HD/Lowes) and a 6" carbon filter.

I will see if running the cheap HD booster fan 24/7 work's. Its a duct booster fan not a inline meaning ints not rated for static pressure? so it will still effectively pull through a 6" carbon filter? I was thinking i could find a cheap small dehumidifier and just run co2?Thank you all for your responses and time.

In that case I could just get a 4" inline/carbon filter combo cheap. I could use less electricity using a small dehumidifier being it's 4x4 compared to a 6" inline. Just my thoughts.

look at it like an investment.

1) If you get a dehuey and place it in the 4x4 tent you won't have much room left for plants and it WILL add heat to the grow space.

2) Fan size,when using only one fan to both ventilate and cool the light,means you'll need a larger fan than usual.

3) Inline booster fans to not hold up well to pressure losses aka static pressure...so no,if adding a carbon filter,the airflow will drop drastically.

Now...what lighting will you be running?

What will the hottest and coldest temperature of the room your tent will pull it's fresh intake air from be?

No to the dehumidifier. Get an intake fan and a exhaust fan and put them both on speed controllers. You should be able to exchange enough air through your space to bring humidity down to how low you want it. This set up will give you complete control over your environment. This is the best, tried and true method to dial your 4x4 tent.
