how does this look for cooling\\hoods are 8in

the long runs are ridgid and the ones connecting to the long are flex then in between lights will be ridgid maby flex

the 25' 12" run will be flex ill try to insulate all the ducting where possible

this is jjust to cool the lights i have a 25kbtu also its a sealed room 12 x10 room

also i could make it a 12" incomming and then reduce it down to an 8 b4 hitting the lights to make more pressure to pull evenly

I would think that the 10" should be 12" on both sides. If using a 12" fan, then reducing to 10", you are creating a bottleneck. I could be wrong

Multiple larger fans running on a lower load, and max out on your ducting size whenever possible avoiding as many bottle necks as yamaha pointed out.

Perhaps I am missing something, but it looks like just one 12' fan on that diagram. Will it vent those lights, sure it will. How loud/efficient will it be running full capacity vs multiple fans running on a lower capacity? That is up to you to decide.

Throwing up 9k, don't skimp on an extra fan or two..... just my .02

Good Luck, Hope this helps

plus ill have a muffler at the end i already have one for a 10" and its nice

Nice to see you will be using as much rigid duct as possible. I chose rigid duct for my ventilation and am very happy with it, great airflow! I also agree that you should maintain the largest diameter duct possible and probably use 2 fans for this. You can never go too big, but it would suck to do all that work and then still not have sufficient airflow for cooling. You can always reduce fan speed. I have heard 200-250 cfm per each 1kW is ideal.

Some info here http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=81273&highlight=Ty-Stik&page=4 . This guy really new is stuff on setting up aircooled hoods. Some troll pissed him off an he split what a shame...

What a shame he cancelled.....he could have contributed allot....i like the "hard duct" he used at top of room may have to use that in mine

heres my plan and initial delivery...ill run 6 600's and a thousand on mover in between rows of 600's with MH to mix spectrum
