8x20' shipping container, stadium setup- light movers?

if a person were to have an 8x20' shipping container with a stadium setup, how many 1000watters would be optimal? would it be better to have more stationary lights, or have less lights and have them on movers? am thinking 6x1000watt lights stationary, or 3x1000watton when movers?

would 6 stationary lights produce more finished product vs. 3 on movers?

lessening electricity consumption is a bonus as the lights run off of propane generators but am trying to weight the pro's and con's about electricity consumption vs final yeild.

If you could save ONE HALF the lights by just moving the other around with movers, you are dreaming. 6 1000W would give you twice as much product as 3 1000W on movers. Movers do not increase production but are designed to give more even light. In other words, you may have a bud that is not getting direct light due to its position in reference to where the stationery light is concerned, so plants having with a mover instead of stationery would give a better product, but it will certainly not give you double the product.

ahhh, naive dreams....

You need a 1000 every 3 or so feet, so your 6k is actually pretty accurate.

However, propane generators are meant for continual usage. You want to look at low rpm diesel generators. There are a number of threads out there, so use the search function and search under titles only.

Its much harder then you're thinking.

i use 2600 w in a 8ft long x 6 ft wide x 8 ft high stadium, a 1000 on each end and a 600 w in the middle, I would go with 7 1000watters or a 1000 and a six and 1000 and so on, the sea container are the perfect width for the stadium, 5 shelve on each side will allow you to keep lamps real low with out burning any plants, and gives you a good walk space down the middle 6 shelve then you would have to raise them a little higher and have less walking room. light saturation is a major key to making the stadium rock..

Thanks for the info. why is it much harder than I am thinking? im honestly asking not trying to be a smartass. ive read up and seen lots of reports with propane generators being used. but i will search the forum for more information. did you mean to say propane are NOT meant for continual usage? becuase ive heard that too, that if you run em for continuous cycles they eventually burn out but it takes awhile.
