hello everyone.

i have an auto lowryder. grown casually in my glass balcony with natural sunlight & premix soil. it's now 8 weeks old and seems to be in good shape. i'm planning to do a flush and wait for a couple of days more but it's my first grow, so what do i know!

i don't have a microscope, but i have a couple of pictures shot with a decent closeup lens to show you some details.

what is your guess?

thank you.

Looks great. Depends on what effect you want...energizing or couch lock? Definitely water only. IF you desire more of a stone....wait a week. More energizing...a few days to a week.

@airbud; i'd definitely prefer an energizing effect. is it possible to have an energizing effect from an indica strain like this?

I always say it depends on my own needs... if I'm outta weed then I might drop her... If its a new strain, and I just wanna test it..I might cut a few lower branches to try, and let her go longer...To see which I prefer. The earlier cut, or later cut...

But I do find that last week or 2, usually adds twice as much weight to the yield

Looking great! Doesn't look fully matured at this point. I agree with the other estimates.
Around 12-14 days needed to fill out and let the trichomes fill up with medicine.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Lowryder hybrid ruderalis, sativa and indica. Are you growing Bulk Seeds Auto Lowryder? Try a bud or 2 from bottom. Smoke will be a bit harsh if dried quickly. If you like the desired effect, cut her down. If not, wait a bit.

thank you for all your replies and sorry for my delayed response.

since i've been growing quite casually (just 1 pot in my balcony with enough care) i am estimating to get 8-10 grams from this baby. so i wouldn't risk cutting lower buds if it didn't seem mature enough to you.

just for the info, i've bought my seeds from elephantos.

i'll wait another week and post another picture set here.

cheers!

Need a pic with the whole plant on it. Doesn't seem to be ready for me, wait for the first amber trichomes. Maybe one more week of bloom nutes and then flushing till ready. Also when you cut bud from lower side of the plant it might not be nowhere near close to the maturity of upper buds.

amber trichromes. got it... i'll post a picture of the whole plant tomorrow.

i'm in mediterranean area, so there's plenty of sunshine here :) but of course, since i've grown her with all natural light, lower buds are far more smaller than the uppers...

thanks for the tips!

I've also noticed my hairs turn brown sooner outside but takes just as long to finish, just brown up early. Calyx's look far from swollen like you want too.

Thought this could help. Just google Amber/Milky trichomes and you can find out which type of high you would prefer. And then there's always a possibility to harvest upper buds that "seem" ready and let the lower ones ripe till amber :)

thanks for all the comments!

the lesson i've learned; "get a decent magnifier"... my photo lens is not cutting it. @purpzz thank you for the chart, really helpful :)

as per request, i've taken a picture showing the full size of the plant. of course, it's nothing like those lush plants on hydro sets, but still looking cute.

even with casual growing, i've found great pleasure in growing stuff. it has it's own feeling of achievement. natural setting also adds to it imho.

2nd set of pics far clearer. My bad in projecting too soon in previous post as I couldn't enlarge pics to see trichs.

dickcorn has the right answer as with others.
