'73 Dodge Duster 340

Saw a mint '73 Duster 340 today - spotted the front grille coming a block away. Beauty car. Gave the driver a big grin and 2 enthusiastic thumbs up - he grinned back and chirped the tires a few times as we followed him for a mile or 2. This thing was cherry - body was factory looking.

Had my boys in the van and gave them mini-tutorial on the car, engine and my prior Dodge/Chrysler cars. I've had 2 Furys (318 and 383), a Valiant (slant six), and am an old Mopar fan from waaaay back. Somebody mentions a ballast resistor, and I get a chubby. Their vans are the only ones I'll buy and drive - had 3 so far.

i had a fury 440, 2 barracuda's, a dodge demon and a polaris; trouble was i kept having accidents and got tired of being broke.

Aww shit! MOPAR 4 LIFE! I've had a '71 Challenger, '73 Charger, '71 Roadrunner & '70 Charger 500. I'd constantly get pulled over by the cops just so they could check it out and ask if I was selling it. LOL!

Seen the prices the '69 - '70 Hemis go for at Barrett-Jackson auctions? $250K+.

I remember seeing a car show yrs back - some snot nosed kids Dad had bought him a lime green Hemi 'Cuda. Grown men were breaking out in a sweat, the kid was bitching about how he didn't really like the color.

Kids.

2 68 barracuda's 1 340 and 1 440 both fastback no notchback.

2 darts 67 & 68. same deal 1 340,1 440

72 duster with 73 340, steel crank eagle rods no cast crap.

as you can tell I like A bodies.

how I ended up with these is beyond me since I am and always have been a mopar man.

65 galaxy 2 door 289 all original. to nice to let some bone head to crush.

91 foxbody. 341 stroker A5 5 speed. word to the wise never jump on and little old lady car unless your willing to walk. 340 dart AKA mustang eater. especially if you can't drive.

Dodge made the Demon prior to changing name to Dart Sport which is a Plymouth Duster. Dart was always a dart AKA Plymouth valiant.
