7 Grams of Water Hash to Cook With, What Would You Do?

Hello IC!

Ok so I have this 7 grams of water hash and I am going to make edibles.

My question is this, would you make butter? Run it through ISO? Decarb in oil?

I have read all the threads and made plenty of edibles. I am just curious

How some of you would maximize the 7grams to make some killer edibles?

All input and ideas are welcome!

i would iso wash it. filter it.. purge at 250 F. for 25-40 minutes.. and add it to anything you want.

I would agree with this, iso or ethanol wash and purge however you choose to do so (safely, please), then allow that to melt into the fat you are using

Why add iso? Curious... seems he has a clean starting product. Then melt into butter.. clean no? Whats iso and purging gonna do that heat and butter wont?

Isn't there an extra ingredient in ISO besides the water and the alcohol? I can't remember what I was doing, but I evaped some and saw like a white milky substance, tossed it.

Truthfully, I've just had better luck with the melting and mixing process with hash oil versus dry sift or water hash. I seem to get a more consistent and effective end product when I do the oil. There may also be something to do with decarbing or some other scientific process that I don't actually fully understand which renders it more effective, but that's a total off the cuff bullshit guess.

Thanks everyone for the input!

I guess that's where I'm at. Do I want to ISO run it then decarb in cooking oil or melt the hash in the oil or butter, I mean they all work its just a matter of time I guess.

Also has anyone run water hash thru ISO? I have and there is quite a bit of product left, does anyone run that again for a lesser quality oil?

it depends what your using it for.. if your using it for oil or butter. just put the waterhash in the oil and decarb it in there.. and strain if u want or dont.. its up to u.

i said iso wash it. just because.. then u decarb it.. and u can literally add the oil TO ANYTHING.. eat it plain.. put in drinks .. food.. candies.. i mean shit.. its activated u can use it in anything.. with little to no taste. tooo..

if you pick the wrong bottle..got to read the label..they add scents and stuff ..I think I once seen one with lanolin or something in it ..def don't use the green bottle lol... regular iso got nothing extra and shouldnt leave any residue...but if it was produced in china who knows..

I'd make ethanol tinctures or capsules. After making edibles all these years, I prefer keeping things simple. Take a capsule and eat pizza or whatever you want.

Ethanol tinctures are better than butter. They stay good for years at room temperature, and you can add them to drinks or any food recipe you want. You can't really add a chunk of butter to a pint of Guinness.

I use 70-90% alcohol to re-claim claim from oil vaporizers and then let that evaporate. It takes days to evap but when it's mostly done it sometimes has that whitish milky substance on top and I just pour it off.

The white milky stuff you saw was water along with something it picked up in the extraction. It evaporates off too, just at a slower rate than the alcohol.

99+% iso is cheap and easy to find online. There's no reason to use 70%. There's no reason to use iso period if you're starting with hash. I like using iso to extract oil from bud and trim. Everclear 190 works just fine if you're already starting with hash.

Thanks a ton for the input! I just ground it and added to butter and let in decarb there. It turned out bloody strong.

Don't worry Stoned Trout, I got plenty for the bowl :)

Iso is really a last resort for me, in fact I don't plan on using it except for cleaning. Unless it sits for weeks on a hot porch in the summer I can always detect the smell of iso. Even if its vac purged. First I hate the smell of iso, but more importantly iso really needs to be purged properly because in sufficient amounts it affects auditory systems.
Ethanol doesn't do this so it's a better choice IMO plus it doesn't have the smell issue when purged

Have you tried purging with ethanol? That's what I do with bud or trim. Extract with 99% iso, let it evaporate, redissolve in a small amount of everclear 190, and let it evaporate again. There's no isopropanol odor after that.

Haven't purged with ethanol but I picked some up to extract with and make holy anointing oil. I'll try that out though, sounds like it would help for sure. Always thought it was odd to smell isopropanol when the extract was bone dry, gotta question whats left

got milk?

got milk?

You can infuse milk with it,freeze and make milk cubes. Easier to add to other drinks or food. Cup o tea in the morning with a couple of cubes!
I tried butter but it was grossing me out to use that much butter on anything.

next time try decarbing it and making candies, not too many, see if you like them or not. They store for awhile. If you try making a version of bho pills they should kick your ass if you make them too strong, just store in the freezer and take one when you want to get going.
