where can you get these 18 hr timers at? and what do they usually cost. also is there a way to make your own using mutiple 24hr timers?

I think the most common one is Intermatic. It took about 10 minutes to set mine up. You just have to put another event turning your lights "on" at the end of the week or it won't reset.
The other one I have had really good luck with is the X10 automation system. It requires a computer, but also works.

What you want to do the speeded up flowering cycle is a 7 day digital heavy duty timer.
