Any one using dual 315 CMH fixtures I want to put 12 in a 18x48 green house for supplemental light. Is 6x6 a good foot print if the sun is my main light source ?

I run my 1000w DE on a 8x8 in 24x48 on for what it's worth

Looks like a very nice light. Also seems you need a high ceilings like with gravitas. Counts me out.

I'm running the 630 watt cmh de bulbs in my de fixtures. You just turn a 1000 watt de ballast to 600 to run them. Bright as hell and a nice color spectrum.

De fixtures are cheap as hell now. May be the way to go.

With my lux meter it seems I need to be about 24" from the bulb to get adequate light for flower. A lot of things will depend on how many bulbs, and the pattern you have laid them in.

In veg my plants are 5.5' from the bulb and it seems to work well.

I think the thing to consider would be heat. They do put out some heat the closer you get to the bulb.

I'm just going with 1K DE HPS. Easier

I already run 1800 in flower in summer, 3000 in winter. Plus 1800 in veg. Have ac, co2, ect.

I read back a ways where someone suggested cutting a hole in the top of the tent to get the ballast up out of the tent and the bottom of the reflector is even with the tent. Demon Trich that sounds like a primo set up bro. Peace out
