600w HPS - How much soil?

Hi IC,

Curious how much soil would a 600w hps require? I've read online that 100L per 600 watts of light is good but that seems like a lot! I was thinking more like 15 gallons would be plenty.

The article I read said if you wanna do 4 per 600w then you would 4 x 25L sized pots. If you wanted to do 8 per 600w then you would use 8 x 12.5L sized pots.

Also curious about grow bags, the reviews seem pretty mixed but they are super cheap!

Well as the saying goes... The bigger the pot, the bigger the pot.

Personally I have atm 9 x 4.5 gallon pots under a 600. I would consider 15 gal way too little if you want a decent yeild. Some people will argue that point though. A big advantage to me with bigger pots is that I have less watering to do.
