hiya all,,just got my babies under my old faithful nebula fluorescent but was wondering do people use a 600w for seedlings? [39 babies in total] i usually move them to under the my 600w after about 2wks and keep it around 4ft away from seedlings, i have popped quite a few beans and the nebula isnt giving me enough coverage,,so thinking putting a few them under the 600w about 4half to 5ft away,,,too much power for those just gone under the fluorescent?,,opinions much appreciated,,as i think the babies on the edge will stretch,,and then the hassle of packing soil around them so they dont fall over etc,,so want to try to avoid this,,cheers,,peace and regards s2

Seems to me the 600 shouldn't be a problem if you start out like your saying at 4-5' then slowly take it down over a 10 day period. Good luck. -granger

I use a 400 watt for my seeds,so I think you'll be fine. The reason I do this,1 for heat, and the flouros I have make them grow at a slower pace.

I also start out at a higher height then lower it a few times.

If they can be grown under the big halide in the sky, I'm sure you could put them under anything.
