600W dresser in construction

Ok, Hi all.

So I am starting construction on a Dresser grow room. I will be using a 600W HPS in a cooltube, with ebb and flow setup. The dresser measure 16.5" deep, 3.5' tall, and 3' wide. Pretty small for the light it will give something around 150w/ft2. I will be using a 435cfm centrifugal fan to both exhaust the dresser and cool the light. I am going to be running 5 CH9 jack plants. I will post pictures later on today. Thats my rough idea at the moment.

Oh here are some pictures of my cooltube/carbon filter setup:

should be enough air to cool down the room ... if its possible i would build up a second ventilation for the cooltube only - i did that and its more effective i think because you dont need a filtre ...

and you usually dont suck the air thru the tube first because it can harm your vent (plastic ones melt and overheat)

did you put aluminum foil around your tube? if yes why?
i would rip it away - its less light for your plants

Its not aluminum foil, its aluminum tape, it holds the reducer fittings onto the tube. I think the fan will be enough to pull the double duty.

yeah its not about the double duty - you can just take a a bathroom vent and push thru the tube and you wont have any loss because you dont need a filtre ... so adding maybe 40w makes your whole system more effective

i thought you put aluminum foil around your tube for reflection or something :yeahthats sorry about that

Hello, I am curious about your carbon filter in your picture. Is the Tee packed with carbon or just the filters at the inlets. If just the thin filters at the inlets, it is not going to take care of the smell.

Well here are some pics from what I did today, sadly it is not much at all. I hung the light, deconstructed the existing dresser, built a res and flood table, plumbed the flood pump, built a duct silencer, and made sure the fan would fit. Hopefully I will have everything mounted tomorrow evening, mylar in place, and seedlings in the system. Here are some pics:

The Cooltube is very short, but about 90% of the bulb is positioned to show through the glass and I am not worried about the other 10% as a 600W is kinda overkill in there anyways.
