600 watt, Cheese, El Nino, Himalaya Gold

Messing up already! I've been really busy with college, so what do I do?! Instead of getting a the potting mix I usually do, I used MG garden soil with 3 months worth of time release ferts..:( What I normally use in my vegetable garden... I just didn't have enough time to run to the nursery. And I'm still a newb myself. So, I have yellow discoloration on my el ninos, and a little droop on my cheese. That may just be because the medium is holding more water than I'm used to. Let me see if I can get the pics up. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Temperature in the tent stays between 78 and 80 degrees F. I planted these from seed 12 days ago, without germinating the seed. It took several days for them to sprout. They've been under 24 hour MH light since the beginning. Plan to switch to HPS 12/12 when they get bigger, but from the looks of things, maybe I just need to start a new?

Hi Fella,
Don't ditch them, persevere. I would re-pot them into a rich potting mix with plenty of chunky perlite, potting grit and a handfull of small hydroton balls to ensure good drainage.
Blood & Bone meal, Kelp, Worm Casts can all be added to the mix but only about 10% of each to begin with. They should perk up.
Best wishes & happy growing :tiphat:

They're coming along. The girls have been through a lot, so I'm not upset. We'll see how things go as time progresses.. We're at day 17 from seed. I didn't germinate them, so it took about 5-6 days for them to break ground. They're not the healthiest yet, but they'll pull through!

Thanks! The cheese and el nino are getting bigger since I switched my light cycle from 24 to 18/6. I'm thinking about throwing in another cheese and a white widow, but I'm worried about crowding...

yea i have noticed that just those 6 hours of dark help it grow better. what is that a 4x4 tent. when i had my 4x4 i put 8 in there.

Yeah, it's a 4x4 tent. I germinated and planted one white widow and another cheese. I'm just worrying about everything finishing fairly close together in time. My original 4 are really starting to take off. I know the two I just planted won't catch up, but I'm hoping they'll still finish at 8-10 weeks of flower. I'll likely have to send them into flower as seedlings, because I'm a little short on time. I may be movng in a few months.

Ok. We're at three weeks and 1 day from seed. I slowed them down really bad by starting them in MG garden soil, however I transplanted them into Ocean Forrest potting mix on the 11th. They've been doing better since then. Still in veg, and I planted another cheese and a white widow. I'm posting some pics of the plants outside the tent, and how I have my tent set up. It works well for me.. I vent out of the window, but you would never know it. After this run I'll show you the piece I made for the window.

Thanks narnir!

Dreams,

I'm going to use tigerbloom and big bloom during flower. Just keeping it simple. I flushed the four girls I had in veg the other day. Once they dry up a little, I'll hit them with a light concentration of growbig and tigerbloom. They were set into flower yesterday. I switched from MH to HPS lighting. These pics were taken yesterday. After today I'll update every seven days. The two pots that look empty in the middle contain cheese and white widow. They were germinated, planted, sprouted for two days, and put on the same light cycle as the rest. It will be interesting to see what they do. The cheese came out fine, but I helped the WW along by assisting with cracking the seed. In the process I broke off a leaf! I counted her out, but she's actually trying and getting along fairly well.

Day 6 12/12. I thought I was going light on the ferts, but my girls disagreed!! They have some nutrient burn. One of them also has some dark green spots, but I can only see them when the plants are under the HPS light. Today I hit each with about two gallons of just water. I was hoping you guys might have some advice.

Probably 9 weeks left on the bigger ones. I started those a while ago. I threw in a WW and another Cheese when I flipped the switch. We'll see how things go!
