6" Y splice

Hey guys- I have a question about splitting my Vortex fan into 2 6" lines. I have a 600w air cooled hood drawing cool air from outside my room, and I have a DIY 5 gallon bucket carbon scrubber. I cant find just a Y splice, but I found one that is straight and about 10" long- it has a 45 degree splice coming outa the side, which is pretty much the same thing.

Heres my Q-
Its deff. going to take more effort to pull air through my carbon srubber, than my light. So should I connect the srcubber to the straight part, and hook up the light to the angled part, or vice/versa?? I would think a straight shot would be the best, but I figured Id ask the pros!

Thanks for the help!

scrubber lighting hood exhaust fan the Y is really unessary, reason the lights hood sucks air from cab in also this air wont pass through the scrubber. scrubber---- lights hood -----fan ---------- scrubbed exhausted air

Yeah, if you try to run the scrubber off a wye connector, it'll just pull the majority of air through the path of least resistance. If you wanna cool your lights with a dedicated intake/exhaust, you're gonna need another fan to pull air through the scrubber.

Yeah I kinda figured it would pull from one side more than the other. Ill just have to move my fan to the other side of my room , or get another fan.
I have a 6" inline fan just collecting dust. Some people advertise these to cool just one light-should I use this to cool just my light, and use my 6" vortex for the scrubber?

Another Q- Maj Pothead said something about scrubbing exhausted air as well. Would scrubbing air that has already been scrubbed really do a whole lot?? I have 25 lbs of activated charcoal, so making another DIY scrubber isnt a problem. I could see this option if you could NOT vent outside, and had to vent just outside the room.
