6' x 12' Enclosed 1200w Ebb/Flow Grow Trailer

Just a little side project I came up with for a friend. This thread will start as a planning thread and over the next couple of weeks become a build log. Some of the equipment (see water/air pumps, fans) used will be way overkill simply because its stuff I've got around.

The Reason:
My buddy has random housing and likes to move a lot, this way if anything ever gets sketchy or he wants to move he can just hook up the trailer to his truck and tow it to another garage. As an alternate use though it could be used as an emergency storage unit, with everything except plants/netpots already setup, this could allow someone to potentially move all the illegal parts of their grow completely off the property within 15 minutes with the only concern being another garage/shop to park in.

The Parts List:
(1) 6' x 12' Enclosed Trailer

(2) 600w Lumatek Digital Ballasts w/ Radiant 8AC Hoods

(1) Toter 96 Gal Trash Can (reservoir)

(18) 5 Gal Economy Black buckets

(2) EcoSub 420 Submersible Water Pumps

(1) Controller Bucket

(1) Merlin Garden Pro High Flow R/O Unit

Those are the basic major things needed. Im going to get the trailer sometime in the next couple of days. Got Rez's "Chemdog Double D" beans ordered that will be going in there along with Gonzo #2.

The Plan:
2 3x3 squares of plants each under a 600w. First run will be for sex initially then once he finds out which are male and which are female, cull the males and leave the remaining plants keeping track of yield/nutrient uptake etc. with the goal being to find a good mother for each strain. Once he has that the moms will be kept in DWC sharing the Alita-80 for air w/ a chiller for temps. He will use a 24 site home made aero-cloner to take clones of these with the weakest 6 clones being culled upon transplant apprx 3 weeks after clones are initially taken. This way as soon as the plants are pulled from the buckets to harvest, the new round of plants can go in, hopefully giving yields every 65 days.

Sounds like you guys are on your way to a nice grow area.
Now, I can help with this issue...let's just say I know a guy who knows a guy....

The trailer will become an oven in the summer, and a deep freeze in the winter.
You need to add $100 for a small AC unit (5000btu is prolly good), and another $100 for proper ducting and hardware.
Then you need to count on another $100 for insulation.
You will also eventually need a heater too.

If your trailer has a front side door, partition off the rest of the trailer from the front, and make the front where you enter a lung room. This should house your AC, fans, and everything should lead to and come from here. Insulate the grow area (including the floor). I suggest using Dow Corning SupertuffR boards. (4x8 sheet $12)

Thanks for the advice hoosierdaddy. This trailer will be in an a/c'd and heated garage though so that shouldnt be an issue.

The garage will help solve the worst problems.
I would consider blowing the exhaust outside of the garage via a duct(s).
And realize that your fans will suck air from your central air system all the time, running or not.
If it were me, I would run a dual duct to the outside, take in air from one and exhaust out the other. It will be far more efficient on your total bill to not be using your house air. Two flanges on the bottom of the trailer for easy connect/disconnect.
I would only count on the climate controlled garage to keep the ambient temps around the trailer good. I would not use that air for the grow.
