5x8 trailer project...

Seems to be the first project on the agenda so lets pictorial this shizzle....

The trailer
basic box trailer with a vent n top that was post product installed
think the whole thing came from Lowe's or similar.

The idea is to panda the interior, or the bubble foil...reflectix?? depends on the funds
I'd prefer to panda the entire inside surface
and use reflectix as an immediate reflector, cylinder on the outside of the plants

the idea is 2 600w vert areas, single layer of plants in just less than 4sq ft each

would like to bring air in through a manifold pipe and disperse it at floor level across the long sides and the filter and inline fan will be pulling through and out the top

interior circulation will be a basic floor fan pointed straight up at each bulb

we can only do 12 plants so maybe ill stack the 600's and make a multi level grow

these will be soil, probably hand watered unless I talk him into Blumats

Teas and organics to feed

I prefer an interior fencing for the plants to grow against

Straining will probably come from the bunch of cuttings I took 2 weeks ago from the OD farm most likely lavender will be the bulk of the plants

:lurk:

Here here. I don't need a bucket, I'll just squat down on my heel, and when I get the excited-gotta-poop urge, I'll just slide so my heel is right on the star trek door, keeping things at bay.

Tell bug-a-lug what I said - he'll get it.

I'd put a bigass scrubber & fan right out the top of the trailer, and just make some passive vents at the bottom of the sides/walls. Look into some cheap air filters ($2-4) at HD, so's you're not sucking outside dust and nasties in..

Thinking out aloud here, but I feel like the environment may be a challenge - no benefit of an entire house/building to keep the room at a relatively stable temp. Instead, you're at the mercy of the universe.. :chin:

If you do the two donuts, might it be challenging to get in to the back donut to work? I'm picturing it in my mind -- maybe if you off-set the donuts, one in a back corner, the other in the opposite corner in the front, .. Might afford a walkway to get from the front to the back..

all on the filter concepts and the intake will be passive, just dispersed through a manifold

putting up one complete ring will determine where n how the second will squeeze in.

Got re-recomended yesterday. Im good to go in cali again!!!

If you're down on the passive intakes, why the need for the manifold? I'd imagine you could just put a series of holes (errr, vents) alongside the bottom of the side walls, two on each side maybe, .. Wouldn't that be the same effect as the manifold - multiple points of entry for the intake?

minimizing trailer alteration
--edit: plus light leaks on that many holes, grechhh
intake will be attempted through one area
manifold to distribute fresh air to all corners of the system regardless of wall breach area. May share the top as in and out. i think a 4in inline will be adequate. gotta check its cfm though
oscillators to move it around and the floor fan(s) to suck n push
Charcoal on top to pull fresh in the passive manifold holes distributed along the opposite wall floors

Clones

Took 30 on aug 27, let em sit in H2O overnight to hydrate
dipped in clonex
stuck a nail in my rapid rooter to open the hole
replaced with freshly dipped cutting
stuck under a dome with aprox 18 1/4in holes along thr bottom edge of the clear dome to facilitate intake of fresh and a series of holes on top to allow gasses to escape
a foil boarder along the clear dome walls, taped only at top to allow free air movement

Cool idea! I love it.
It wouldn't work where I live unless I ran it in the winter time. Good luck to you!!!

Its in mostly shade. ambient temp is my biggest fight right now

didnt expect it to work here, daily temps ar 95 to 100. I expeced molded yellow mushy cuts when I got back. I think the air flow scheme are what saved em.

I'm tuning in to see how this works out. I had thought of something similar like this but I wanted to use a storage container instead. But I doubt that $hit would work where I live at unless it was underground or something.

First I spot staple to place te film

then I take cardboard from a cereal box and cut into squares then staple through those for 2 reasons

1-reinforces the hanging points
2-makes it easier to take down later

corrugated tears through but works
sometimes ill use white duct tape in 2 layers instead
