Howdy folks,
New room is a lil' bigger then 14ft x 8ft. I'll be able to run all the lights I want provided I can get the rest of this mess sorted out.
room dimensions
Lets start with the AC section of the build.
Highlighted in red is where the existing forced air furnace, rooms floor register, and existing AC unit are located.
The forced air furnace is being replaced. It's noisy, expensive and inefficient. I'll be replacing it with baseboard electrical heaters.
Also makes for a good reason to upgrade the panel from 100 to 200 AMP service as well as run new wire through out the house.
So I'd like to run the room sealed. Remove all existing duct work from under the house...except for whats needed to run the existing AC.
So I guess my question is, can I run the existing central AC after taking out the furnace?
If I can't, I'll buy a mini split....but I'd rather use something that I already have obviously.
Thanks for any input.
