nl is massively under-rated strain, at least in todays crowd. my first grow included nl5 and boy howdy, was she off teh charts in terms of yield and potency. the most appealing aspect was the nugs aesthetics, neon green and covered in sugar.
as far as yield go, its speculative to guess... i would say around 1/2 to 3/4 of an O per PLANT. either way, your going to be happy with the end results. one thing about nl, she doesnt need as much nutes towards the end- all my phenos demonstrated this sensitivity in the later stages.
remember, we need constant updates and finished bud shots, otherwise some of us lurkers arent getting our daily dose of bud porn. which, if left uncehcked, could lead to boredom. for the love of god, man, i would hope you dont want THAT on your conscious ; )
Hahaha! Nice man! Well I installed 2 news lights! How should I do at the end? Should I give them more light?? Should I not give them no watter before harvest??
Im away at the moment, as soon as I return I will make som new Bud Porn for you mate!
you should look LST or super crop. I personally prefer super cropping because LST requires tying your plants down. I actually do both. Supercropping involves bending the branches down in order to help the plant spread outward as opposed to upward. Bending the stems can sound scary but they actually recover very quickly, in about a day or two, and it increases yield IMO. Supercropping you're supposed to pinch the stem with ur thumb and index finger and break the fibers in the stem and then bend it until it goes about 30 to 45 degrees past the point where you would like the stem to end up. The plant will pick it back up but not as high as the original position. You pinch it from one direction then bend in a perpendicular direction. So if you pinch from the east and west then you will either bend north or south. know what i mean? this will keep them from standing straight back up which they def can do.
I find this a little risky as the stem may still snap so what i do is massage the stem with my fingers, gently squeezing it from different angles, until it is soft, stringy and bendy. I then bend it down in the direction i want it to go. I have a LOT of success doing it this way. If you somehow manage to snap it, which I have done once or twice, just tape the stem to mend it. It WILL reattach in about 5 days or less depending on the damage. I once managed to snapp it almost completely off and all hope was lost but i still taped it together and to my suprise it worked! simple scotch tape will work. BTW it turned out to be a male so didn't matter either way.
Northern lights is very resilient and will bounce back from any supercropping almost the very next day. I like to bend at multiple spots on the same branch, between nodes usually. less stress to a single point in the branch. helps spread the tough love around, you know? just helps keep them low and bushy and away from the lights. In flowering those babies will more than double in size so you might want to do something about space.
Oh and I don't like to trim leaves, some times undergrowth in order to lollipop but fan leaves are your power generators so I try to hold on to those. I keep feeding veg nutes through flowering in order to keep them. in small amounts of course and always flush for about 2 weeks.
