i was just pricing out some stuff.. possibly doing a bio bucket system.. just toying with the idea.. (will def eventually do it, just not yet..) anyways, my buddy says he can get me a 5000 gph pump.. i think its a mag drive.. but he says its 16amp? not really a problem but is that normal? and 180.00 bucks sound good? brand new..

You'll need a BIG resovoir so that the pump doesn't outrun it...something like this oughta work:

Must be industrial. A garden/pond pump would draw half those amps.
It would have to be run by 220.
That is one hell of a pump.
I think it will have way too much pressure.
Stay peacefull

hmm.. hehe.. so amps sound right for a pump that size?
pool pumps can move that kind of water and @ 115v they pull right around that much current. Seems a bit much even for a bio bucket to me, but i am no bio bucket specialist so take that for what it is worth.

Whatever

This stuff always cracks me up. A 2+ year old thread back from the dead :bashhead:
