50 N, autoflower or clones?

So, I live just north of 50 deg and I'd like to do an outdoor grow, there is just SO much crown land, and clearcut and old logging roads, and tiny little lakes and beaver dams, and so very few people, hereabouts, it seems to be a shame to never outgrow the closet. \\

the weather is no joke though, I have only about a hundred frost free days

I can't be safe planting earlier than the second week of june, perhaps the third week.

I need to harvest mid september or thereabouts.

I really only want to deal with a canadian seedbank

Freezeland by thunder bay outdoor seeds was my choice If I want to use clones, being an outdoor strain from just south of here, If I wanna autoflower then I have a couple of choices from Vancouver seedbank for auto regular seeds.

If I was going to go the autoflower route I figured on planting shortly, autoflower regulars indoors, and letting the females go to seed and then germinating the next gen three weeks/a month before bringing outside to finish.

I've no experience with autoflowers and I am leery of ending up with a dozens of puny sticks topped with a gram of crap bud.

I'm also concerned about ending up with a bunch of leafy tops with no bud if freezeland doesn't live up to the seed breeders hype

Same latitude as you and man I hate OD here.... im going to try auto-s i think

I have an gas powered earth auger so im going to use that to go down a solid 2 ft, then backfill with some nicer soil/soiless combo mix. Start my auto's in 6 inch pots , transplant them od around june 10th... or sooner depending on forcast..

No hauling water for me tho

Id love to fill my greenhouse but it ain't legal yet

I grow reg strains and autos at 58N. Very similar growing outdoor conditions. 1st week of June is a safe plant out date here.(Usually) Low risk of a late frost and the sun is right where I need it. I run autos that finish July to September. I grow reg strains that finish late August -September. Picking the right strain is important. Autoflower I direct sow at the plot. Reg strains I try to pregrow up to 1 month prior, depending on how bad the smell gets. Here is a picture of next years grow spot. I have a few years growing experience outdoors at 58N so I am here to help.

I have more dirt to move. I am running 50-70 holes. 50-80 liters of soil per hole.
