This is a review of the 5 strains I grew this year outside. If you would like details of the grow you can click the leaf in my sig and it will link you to my thread. These girls were all organics under the sun and I am pleased with all of them.

2007 Outdoor:


Luna's AK97

These were freebies (AK97 x Skunk #1) but I would gladly pay for more of them (big thanks to Luna!). There were two phenos one fruity/skunky and one that was chemically/acrid. Both smoked similar but the skunk pheno was my favorite with that rank fruit smell/taste it was just so good.

The skunky buds had fat swollen calyxes and the other pheno (I'm guessing AK I've never smoked it) was covered in bright orange calyxes. The high was very nice on both of these, potent but a day smoker, it doesn't knock you out, very blissful I enjoyed them very much. I'm happy to note they are very fast flowering triggering in August and done in September with a very good yield to boot.

High 8/10

Reeferman's G13 x Blueberry

Reeferman's G13 x Blueberry

This cross is Airborn's g13 clone crossed with a DJ shorts Blueberry sativa male. Its pretty much everything you would expect from a cross like this. It is a very potent mostly indica hybrid that comes on fast and strong but I find that the head high doesn't last all that long. This is not my favorite type of smoke but it has its place and was many people's favorite this year.

The taste and aroma is nice mix of earthy and berry. A good cure is essential for this smoke and makes it creamy sweet.

One of the best parts of this strain is its yield potential. The colas are huge. Mold was a concern for me and I did get some but for the thickness of the buds it was surprisingly resistance. They also finished relatively early in mid October. The buds have great bad appeal, covered in trichs and break up well releasing the aroma.

Despite the few negatives I feel this strain has good potential and I will be growing out another pack to look for a mother.

High 7/10

JLP's OG Kush bx1 F2's

First of all thanks to JLP for sending these out. I only got a few out of a pack but they were some nice plants. The smoke was a good mix of indica/sativa. It comes on strong and lasts a couple hours. It was good, not at all disappointingly but considering it was the legendary OG kush I was expecting a little more.

The flavors and aroma definitely came through. I didn't smell any fuel smells but there was piney lemon for sure, tastes great in a joint.

Yield was disappointing on these and they were pretty slow veggers but the pests didn't seem to like them too much.

High 8/10

I've wanted to grow SAGE for years. It lives up to its hype and I will problem buy another pack to look for mother. Among my experienced smoking buddies this was the favorite plant. I didn't keep one this time around because it is not a suitable outdoor plant for me, it just takes too long.

The high is strong, long lasting and euphoric. The let down is nice and easy, thats what I like about it, you feel no drowsiness afterwards its.

The taste and aroma is definitely unique. Its a strong pine smell mixed with something I can not put a name on. Not bad but not my favorite.

All my SAGEs had to come down early, they were susceptible to mold. This effected yield but a good calyx to leaf ration makes me think it would yield very nicely. The buds have nice bag appeal to them. I would like to run this indoor one day.

High 9/10

Federation's ISS

The ISS was my personal favorite smoke this year.The strain is supposed to be an IBL but there was a good amount of variation among these plants. The quick finishers are nothing special but the sativa phenos are spectacular. Just like the SAGE though this means I can't grow it; another strain to grow inside one day.

The high on the ISS lasts for hours, I don't remember staying high for 3+ hours since I first started smoking. It's very euphoric and keeps your head buzzing, not at all thinking weed with a nice stone to it as well.

The flavor is sweet, thats the best way to put it. Not typical skunk sweet though, a friend describes it as pez candy.

The yield on these a little poor but thats because they were chopped early. They finish late and have poor mold resistance. I could see them yielding well inside they have great vigor and grew huge. The buds themselves are very airy and sativa looking.

High 9/10

Those AK97 plants are huge! You filled up a whole BOX with buds!
I also like the picture of the person holding the colas with the sticky thumbs!

Thanks for the smoke reports. Federation seeds seems to come out on top for a lot of people. I will have to try their stuff some day.

Nice reports, I got some OG finally and it IS all its hyped up to be. I assume u didnt get the real deal if it wasnt in clone form, what do I know though.

Harold it was a freebie on Seebay back sometime ago. Do not think it is available anymore, would have to ask Luna, he donated them

i just wanted to point out that I.S.S is a great yielder the only thing is she has a tendency to pack on the weight in the last few weeks of flowering.

Thanks all,

I am sure the SAGE and ISS are both great yielders, they had the right structure. Thats why I didn't rate their yields cause I couldn't really judge them.
