I have a table 3.5x5.5 and i tried a light mover I didnt like it buds didnt seem as dense I went over kill and bought another 1 k as I already had one but I could easly use 2 600s .I am actually considering downgrading to dual 600s in the summer to put less strain on A/C when its warmer out .Something to consider 2 K in small areas can be tricky to cool 2 600s is much less heat to deal with

2 600's over a 3' x 6' (or even a 4' x 6') is perfect. skip the 1000's. too much heat. and throwing more light at a problem is lazy. once you get dialed at 1 GPW, add another 600. 1800 w in the hands of a good grower would kill any 2 1000s even if they are both skilled.

Just MHO.

I don't know where this idea came from that 1000's are hard to cool. I run three 1000 W lights in series using a single 400 CFM fan. The air that comes out of the duct is barely even warm, and the grow room stays nice and cool with some basic ventilation. If you can cool a 600, you can cool a 1000.

... and throwing more light at a problem is the easiest way to pull weight while you learn your growing technique.

If adding more light makes me lazy(yeah I did a run with a mover and then a second light to compare) I better go take a nap .This is gonna turn into a 600 vs 1000 debate started by my grandfather in 1927 ,how frickin boring is that gonna be ?

Avon my only point was I didnt like the mover and I gave it a fair run .More light =more buds if have your enviroment dialed in .

without my enviroment dialed in. if its just moderatly controlled i think more light = more bud. i was wondering the how much of a difference in weight and quality look of the buds the 600's will have over the 1000 or vice versa in my experience the buds under a 1000 are cannons

Is that the goal?

Is that the goal?

1 gpw? Obviously as I am just building my grow room that is a long way off. But is 1 gpw considered a productive yield?

Of course two lights is going to yield more than one light with a mover. But what about two lights with a mover? Stop comparing apples to frozen ceramic penguins.

1k's are easy as hell to cool IME.

heres a single 1k w/ light mover covering a 4x6 exactly. air cooled to boot. i know i have the light oriented wrong in this pic, but you get the idea.

oh and without you environment dialed in you could get jack squat. even with the added wattage. i'd concentrate on making your environment ideal, and then add more light. as long as you keep temps over 60 and under 90 w/ acceptable humidity levels you can pull a harvest. somewhere in the middle will give you the best return.

Badugi has a very nice set up of movers .If i could only run one light I would pull my light rail out and use it again
I have no trouble cooling 1 k lights top of my hoods are cool to the touch
1000s grow cannons ....I couldnt agree more avon why use a 600 if you dont have to (I got called lazy in a thread last week for that out look)
Just a suggestion thou get that room dialed in ,all things conscidered enviroment may be more important to a 4x6 area than another light or a mover for that matter

the room has no heat issues and fresh air. =P to me thats a good enviroment, when you say enviroment what else are considered factors? but right now im messing with a recirulating dwc and a 3x3 ebb and flow table im trying to see which is better for me

Fresh air (co2),temps day and night ,humidity day and night
Buy a 600 and compare that half of the table to the 1 K side ,but I think we all know the winning side in that battle
