4x6 8'high.

i have a aircooled 1000w HPS. i was thinking a 4 inch squirrel cage cooling the light and then venting into a 4inch carbon filter outside the room. is simple fanless 2 inch hose running in for air sufficient. all organic SOG grow 20 plants??
will it be fine without CO2. do i run fan 24/7?
suggested bank/strain please.

6" 392cfm-440cfm inline centrifugal (Can Fan,Vortex,Elicent,Eco Plus) to aircool the light, fan ran for however long the light is on.

6" 392cfm-440cfm to 8" 700cfm for ventilation and carbon scrubbing.Leave fan on 24/7

Or an 8" 700+cfm inline centrifugal for aircooling the light and carbon scrubbing.Leave fan on 24/7 even when light is off.

Depending on ambient temps you might be able to get away with a single 6" 392cfm-440cfm inline centrifugal to both aircool the light and ventilate/carbon filter.

For passive intakes use atleast 2x 6" holes or get 2-4 8" x 8" darkroom vents or a [url=http://www.adorama.com/DKL1224.html]12" x 24" darkroom vent

Your foot print is a little big and only allows for 41w/square foot and only 5833 lumens/square foot which is not enough to grow any decent bud as 50w/square foot is minimum,so I would plan on using an actual footprint for the plants/light of 4' x 4' which allows 62.5w/square foot and 8750 lumens/square foot.

You could get aways with a footprint of 4' x 5' and get 50w/square foot and 7,000 lumens/square foot.Either the 4' x 4' or 4' x 5' would be your best bet as a footprint anything beyond that and the outer plants won't be recieving much usable light if any.
