4x4 tent and fans

I just have a quick question, I see pictures of tents and many seem to have a fan inside the tent and from everything I read nothing said anything about having one, so what is it for?

I have a 6" blower to suck air out and though a filter or maybe that is to push air in and put the filter on the exhaust side. So if I have this system do I need a fan in side a 4x4 grow tent?

Thanks

Dont necessarily need one in the tent because the amount of air your 6' is gonna move through is already waaay more than enough. You can suck or blow through your scrubber it works the same although i know people will argue buts thats another post;) if it were me i would get a fan speed controller put the scrubber and fan outside the tent and suck air through the tent and pushed through the scrubber, that way you have more room to hang your light! Remember though the fans dont cool they only move air so if the room your tent is in is 90 degrees no matter how air you move the tent will be 90.

do you mean a blade fan ? if so they're for circulating air in the tent . most people run to many plants in a 4 x 4 & the canopy can get thick ! so the extra fan is to move the air around better than just the 6" fan can do .its like having a breeze blow on your out door grow . it helps strengthen the stems too .

You need oscillating fan above canopy, below your lighs if you use hps/mh to move air around the buds and keep hot spots for concentrating especially in summer.

4x4x6 tent = 96 cubic feet. 6 inch blower fan average 400cfm thats alot of air! Which would make putting a 6 inch clip fan in there redundant in my opinion. If your exchanging the air in that tent 4+ x a min what do expect a little 6inch walmart blade fan to do?

I currently have a 4x4x6.5 and have a 6 inch duct fan pulling air through a cleansing filter into my tent and a passive vent to release pressure. I prefer to have positive pressure in my tent so it's being filled with filtered air constantly and not sucking in air from any other holes in my tent. I worked in an operating room previously and they are designed to have positive pressure to keep bad microbio out.

I have a small oscillating fan blowing between my canopy and 600w led to make sure the tent is getting a lot of airflow and there are no dead spots for anything weird to happen. Most of my experience comes from a wet outdoor growing environment so I'm admittedly paranoid about airflow and room to breathe. My plants seem to be really happy in this environment with a 600w led for veg. The only problem I had was letting the temp and humidity get to low when I took the dome off my first seedlings. Got a small humidifier in the tent and small heater for outside the tent and my plants are loving it now at around 74f and 50%h average. The only problem I can see with extra fans is if your plants are getting blasted by them constantly and show signs of stress.

I run a fan up top on the canopy for heat spots and flow, I also run one on the bottom of the tent for scrog runs to keep air moving under the canopy to prevent PM and mold too.

Same here. It's nessary to have a breeze all over the plants.

I always run one (sometimes two) between the light an top of plants. And one osolating under the canopy on the floor.

That's what I run to provide air circulation immediately around the plants, between any leaves or buds that would be touching each other (causing condensation, leading to rot) otherwise.

I also run a 450 cfm 6" fan (the fan is on a speed controller) pulling through a charcoal filter then through my air cooled hood, through the tent then to the fan.

This fan provides clean, fresh, dry, cool, co2 rich air for the tent.
