Well, it is definitely kind of late to post but I wanted you all to check out some of my setup till I post better pictures.
So..... equipment.
1000 watt dimmable E-fusion Ballast
4x4 secret jardin tent
mercury 6 closed reflector
400 cfm active air fan pulling through reflector
1000 watt hortilux bulb has
400 cfm phresh filter
269 cfm can fan to pull through filter
Lucas Formula Micro and Bloom
So it has been a while since I have done anything like this so basically this is my test grow. I am trying to zero in everything for efficiency. I will provide a little back story since I am about to flip to 12/12.
I started with some bag seed I had from a few years ago, so I don't know where or what it came from. I threw those in some pots and let them germ. Made a couple newbie mistakes in the beginning from being "in a hurry," as my wife likes to say. Basically I jumped the gun on feeding notes early on. I don't think that did as much damage as buying cheap soil from Lowes though. I started with some Stagreen moisture control and have learned that was a bad Idea. Basically I had salts build up in the mix and started to cause note lockout due to pH. By the way pH dropped way down to 5.5 exiting the pot.
So to correct the problem I bought a pH/ec/tds meter from Hanna. Works great. I also went out and bought some fox farm ocean forest and did immediate transplants a few days after I flushed with some clearex. So anyway, now I am up to 3 gallon pots for 5 plants and 1 gallon pots for 3 plants. Wohoo! I also added some compost tea to boost microbial growth and help stabilize. So they are coming out of some wicked deficiencies from pH lockout but looked a ton better than before. Oh, and my room temps are sitting between 70 and 81 and relative humidity has been between 40 and 45. I am still trying to fix the window cover to help. I have to be stealth about it (apartment). Looks awesome though. So I think that is enough to get this thread started. I apologize for the crappy picture quality but Iit is the best I can do on my phone with the yellow hps light.
Ok well iccan't post pictures from my phone so i will try and get Iit done tonight on the laptop.
