So im new here im 420medcure hi there. Ive learned for couple years through this site yet just made an account and started as a michigan medical marijuana patient and grower in the past year or so. I started in coco all synthetic. Im a nature lover so lets say that didnt last long. As of recently about 6 months i started learning organics and soil biology microbe life, benifits from compost teas organic amendments and foliar feeding. Ive been very intrested in high.brix growing just to broke to fully dive into it.


Anyway right now im going off a rough homemade organic mix.
I start with happy frog and add humus compost worm castings some kelp soft rock phos bone meal some guano occasionaly humic acid and let it cook for months. I also use happy frog and compost for small plants.
My goal is to get a good mix down but the problems is finances i had a good set up months ago with family members unfortunatly they screwed me over so i lost alot of money and valuable time. That was 8 months ago. This is now.

Ive had a few harvests under my belt many diffrent strains my favorite ive grown is cannatonic ill through a pic up later.
Right now in the garden i have 2 8 bulb 4ft t5s running also 1 1000 watt metal halide i have to run a heater 24 hours a day for heat issues my room right now is 12x14 with 12ft ceilings i plan to close off part for veg and start flower soon.
Strains are:
Girl scout cookies (forum cut?)
Jedi death star
Cataract kush
Greatful chem
Power plant #2
Blue chem
Grape stomper
And 1 unknown
I am always changeing genetics but all i have right now im happy with and most likley keeping.
I do want to find a good banna pheno strain and gorilla glue has been calling my name.
So i will update when i can and all help and advise is welcome i read alot and try and get as much knowledge as possible very open mind here. I will get some pics up of the current veg set up and then ill show some old stuff from coco growing

Need advice on best cource of calcium and magnesium in a tea or top dress? If anyone can help much appreciated

You can amend with dolomite and gypsum 1:1, or you can top dress with gypsum and use Epsom Salts as a foliar or drench. Next crop amend with the dolomite and gypsum. Good luck. -granger

Thanks for the advice. I did mess up not mixing in dolomite i had some at my moms she used for her yard but never made it over and plants got root bound any way getting that before next composting for sure. Would like some advice on finishing pot size im in 5gallons getting ready to transplant soon im thinking 15 gallons? Smart pots maybe i need advice here im thinking of a couple plants per light 1000watts

Heres some pics fron last night this is supposed to be gsc forum cut we will see when she flowers out anyone see resemblance? Second pic is the jedi death star out of ohio i believe? Again un sure on both but they both look great grow great and have a beautiful smell in veg cold temps in the room still have to close a section off busy busy

Granger, what brand or where to you recomend i purchase quality gypsum? I know my local stores dont have any garden amendments at all and i hate the hydro store
