Hey everyone. This is my first ever attempt at growing, so dont be to harsh. I started with 10 seeds, used the paper towel method and all 10 popped. Placed them in 16oz cups for 2 weeks then I transplanted the 4 best looking into 5 gallon buckets. I figured that only transplanting once would be easier on the plants.
Lighting as been on 18/6 for 3 weeks now. Its a 400watt Floralux that a friend is letting me use.
Temps are 78 with light on and 70 with them off. RH is only at 30%, not sure if that is good or bad.
Soil is Country Side Potting Soil. I know that it isn't the best thing to go with, but that was what i was limited too. No Home Depot or Hydro stores around. All i have to work with is Lowe's and WalMart...both of which do not keep much in the gardening section this time of year. I did add a cup of Bone meal and Blood meal to the soil...couldn't find any perlite
I am watering whenever they need it, which seems to be about every 3 days right now. I am using half strength dose of Fish Emulsion and 2 cap fulls of hydrogen peroxide for gallon of water.
Heres wut they are looking like so far:
I know a couple of the leaves looked messed up, that was from my attempt to FIM them. I guess i didnt cut enough off. The smallest looking one just doesn't want to grow, i think i may have topped it to early and put too much stress on it. It seems to be doing much better since the last watering tho.
I started doing some LST on them, but i'm not sure if I should keep it up. Right now the plants are in my closest, but will be moved to their own room in the next couple of days. I wont have any height issues in the other room, so should i just let them grow normally or will i get a better yield by continuing to LST. Should i also top them again a week or two before i switch to 12/12?
Once they hit 12/12 i am going to be feed them with Fox Farms Bloom Big and Tiger Bloom along with some molasses. The FF nutes are being shipped now along with a PH test kit and some PH up and down. I have been using Distilled water up untill now.
So let me know wut you think and if you have any advice for me as i am sure i am doing some stuff wrong. I'll keep this thread updated with pics as it goes.
