400W MH Perpetual setup

Alright everyone, we're back with our second grow. It's another 400W MH setup in soil with a perpetual cycle setup (or at least in the process of being setup). We're cloning from re-vegged moms from our first grow. We've also got 3 bag seed ladies growing as well. If all goes to plan, we'll be harvesting 5 plants every two weeks. For our first harvest, we decided to go bigger though, and we'll have 12 plants being harvested then.

Now for the growing areas. We've got 4 separate growing areas: cloning, vegging, mom box, and flowering chamber.

First off, here's the cloning area:

We've got two flourescent bulbs inside with around 8 clones at a time rooting.

Next is the veg and mom box:

And finally the flowering chamber:

We taped panda poly all the way around our reflector and cut a hole for a fan to ensure air flow.

As of today, we're at start of week 2. Here's a couple shots from the start of both weeks

That's all for now.

look impressive but how well do those bags work..? and how do they hold up to heavy watering late in flowering? im interested in this one

so far they're working fine and i haven't heard anything bad about them. I can't see having any problems with heavy watering, but I guess I'll find out for sure in a couple months

Update: Week 3

Update: Week 3

Alright, so we're at the start of week 3, and things seem to be going well so far. Here's the change we've had so far:

week 3

Now for a little bit on our plants.

We're growing Blue Crazy from our 2 re-vegged moms, one of which turned into one and two leafed freaks. We decided to toss the freak mom into the flowering chamber since it was begging to flower. It's pretty easy to tell from the week 3 picture which one it is.

That's all for now. We're hoping our cloning technique starts to work a bit better as we've had some setbacks with clones not rooting. We'll let you guys know how its going by the end of next week

we're now at the start of week 4. our buds are coming along nicely and we're starting to see just where the colas are going to form. here's a little look at some of the progress.

here's the freak one-leafed blue crazy

and here's our other phenotype of blue crazy

hopefully only 5 more weeks to go before our first harvest. next week we'll be putting in 4 more clones, so from now on things are only going to look nicer

Hey everyone. We're now at the start of week 5 for the first harvest, and we just put in 4 more rooted clones, so the perpetual setup has officially started. Here's what it looks like now:

We had a bit of a scare earlier in the week which forced us to box up all the flowering plants for about 4 extra hours. After getting back from work I discovered that my ceiling had sprung a big leak and had to get my landlord to come in. Luckily nothing was discovered and the plants didn't seem too phased by the move.

Here's a few pics of our favourite plants of the different phenos just after watering today.
Blue Crazy

One-Leafed freak Blue Crazy

and this is the freak mom we decided to flower. It started a week late, so its now starting week 4

That's all for now, hopefully only 4 more weeks to go before our first harvest!

Hey everyone. We're now starting on week 6. Not much to add this time since everything seems to be going well. We bought some molasses the other day and added it to our feeding schedule for the first time yesterday. Here's a close up of one of the blue crazy clones

Anyways, that's it for now, hopefully we'll be harvesting soon!

not much new to update. we've got 4 more new clones in the flowering chamber, so we've got plants at 6 weeks, 2 weeks and just starting. here's some close ups of the blue crazy

and here's our bagseed plant that's turning purple

just under two weeks to go before our first harvest

nice setup dougingles looks like ther is alot of love goin into your garden it will return the favor.peace

Only one more week to go before the first harvest. I'd post some more pics of the crop, but the site doesn't seem to want to let me upload any of them. Here's hoping nothing goes wrong in this last week

We harvested the last of our first crop today. We had chopped the blue crazy freaks last sunday, and then chopped the seed plants on wednesday, and then finally we chopped the blue crazy's today. So far we have an ounce of dried bud, with four fresh plants drying.

Here's the cheap drying box we rigged up with dental floss. We just toss it in the closet with the lid on it to keep the light out.

Here's the seed plant that we've decided to name Purple Florentino, in honour of the guy that gave us the seeds.

And here's the Blue crazy freak and seed jarred up for a good curing.

We sampled some of the dried Purple Florentino today, and it was incredible. I can't wait for the Blue Crazy to dry since it's loaded with crystals. Next week we'll finally have the full spectrum of the grow in operation with plants at two week intervals all the way up to harvest. Here's a shot of the garden now. The oldest plants are 4 weeks old.

Anyways, that's all for now. Next harvest will be in January as we've allowed for a break for christmas.

very nice i wish i could clone and my setup would be complete very nice indeed i have a 400w mh myself and all i need is a clone machine and some more lights and ill be right there with ya cudo's man very nice

Thanks man. We're actually having some problems with our cloning right now. The last batch we took only had one root, and we had to pull some of the rockwool off to even see that it had rooted. Luckily we only have to clone once more when we get back from holidays, so hopefully the ones we have in now and those will all root and we'll be able to harvest all the way till April
