this will be my new log for my 400W grow...

ill be using the hidhut400Wconversion kit-economy reflector
-shultz organic mix,with added perlite
-digital hygrometer
-advanced nutrients iguana juice grow and bloom

the strains

-1 hindu kush
-1 donnas double clone
germing 3 cindy princess and 5 papaya
-----------------------------
the temps range from 20-37 degrees celcius with humidity from 40-55%

the cab was made with some heavy duty cardboard,as i was in the process of building a cab,but the measurements would be awkward.so i found a PERFECT piece of cardboard lying around,that fit perfectly in place,and i can just cut holes when needed,with the ease of an exacto knife!

Hey dude I'm using Iguana Juice, too. Since it's only my first grow, I have nothing to compare the nutes to, but the plants loved it. That's pretty cool you're growing in cardboard.

Thats actually pretty NOT cool, cardboard is highly combustible and 400w is alot of heat.

I agree, been seeing too many posts here lately about growing in cardboard. Above all you should be safe, and I don't think anyone should be burning their houses down. I think you should be continuing your cabinet development as you were doing.

twisted tree- thanks man,i should have nothing but good things to say after trying iguana juice,i was going to get connesseur but didnt like the price tag.

TheDopest-usually i wouldent be using cardboard,i gave my cab to a friend about a year ago,and just wanted to get something going,there is adequate room for the light,and heat,and there is no problems yet.also.temps are fine,at 28C

dr.dog-no problems with the cardboard....its allmost 1/2 inch thick,and was used to deliver a $1000 deck(snowboard) so i have no concerns,as long as my temps are fine,and the cardboard isnt warm,im good i think.thanks for your concern though,i do appreciate it!

J-roc-thanks man,cheap and efficient setup namsayin(jroc voice),the light is about 12 inches from the seedlings,and it will be moved down as they get older and as long as tempartures permit.ill stop by j-rocs crib.sliiiii-peace

Whoa, whoa, settle down. I'm sure the cardboard box is only temporary. My plants' first few weeks were in a cardboard box. Of course, I wasn't running anything but a couple of CFL's, not a 400 watter. Besides I meant it's cool in the same way it's cool that you can use duck tape to fix anything. I like seeing MacGuyver growers.
